Business Summary :
VMWare’s Business Transformation and Automation (BTA) PACT (PMO + Change Readiness) works with key business functions and IT teams to enable new business models, deliver innovative capabilities and process improvement to support VMware’s growth.
Initiatives span virtually every VMware business domain including Sales, Marketing, Channel Partners, Renewals, Operations, Support, and Finance.
BTA is seeking versatile People and Program Manager to lead the Costa Rica PMO and Adoption Change Team (PACT), as well manage individual initiatives.
As the manager of the Costa Rica PACT team, this person will support performance of the team; guide the development of individual team members;
and contribute to the evolution of BTA program management model, tools and methodology. They will also act as the Site Leader for the overall BTA Costa Rica organization, representing BTA leadership locally, and facilitating a positive team culture aligned with company and organizational values across the PACT, Solutions, Service & Support teams.
This individual will also lead the structure and drive the execution of large, cross-functional initiatives of business technology enablement, process and policy improvement, including change management and confirmation of success objective realization, and drive change strategy with the teams on key programs including conducting impact assessments and business readiness plans.
Responsibilities : People Manager
Build, manage and inspire a team of Business Program Managers & Change Management professionals
Provide leadership & support to team members to successfully manage all phases of programs, including ensuring consistency in methodologies, communication, tools, and metrics,
Partner with Global counterparts to evolve & optimize the PMO & Change Readiness Practice
Support team member’s professional development
Create a One Team dynamic to ensure a healthy & productive relationship between the Program Managers & Change Readiness team members
BTA Costa Rica Site Lead
Represent BTA at the center on all organizational needs
Provide center oversight for the BTA teams to senior leadership and help drive intuitive to accelerate business outcomes
Drive people programs for the BTA CR team to motivate, develop and grow the local teams
Individual Initiative Lead
Drive Change strategy with the teams on key programs including conducting impact assessments and business readiness plans.
Construct program charters, establish and drive execution plans, timelines and program governance, and manage risks & contingencies
Manage communication and engagement with program sponsors, stakeholders, and business communities
Work cross-functionally to establish program team structure and resource support. Manage cross-functional global teams (IT, business, 3rd party vendors, etc.
in a matrix framework
Align program with other VMware initiatives and manage cross-project dependencies
Education / Training :
BS / BA degree in Business or Technology-related field (required)
MBA or Masters (preferred)
Program Management certification or equivalent (required)
Change Readiness training / certification (desirable)
Process Excellence training (desirable)
Design Thinking or other Innovation training (desirable)
10+ years of driving complex transformational programs including running and / or being a part of Enterprise PMO’s or Change Teams
Hands on experience developing change management strategies including impact assessment & business readiness plan
Experience working with and presenting to Senior Executives (Sr. Director+)
Working in a Globally Diverse & fast-moving Environment
Leading large and cross-functional teams
Domain Knowledge :
Understanding of Sales Cycles / Models, Renewals, Customer Service & Support, Pricing, and Order Management business processes and systems
Familiarity with enterprise systems, including PRM, CRM, SFA, and ERP

Formal training or relevant experience in Project Management or Change Management (PROSCI)
Working knowledge of the enterprise software industry and the organizational structure
Experience working remotely with a global team (AMER and APAC)
