Job Description
Looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in Costa Rica or Colombia responsible for designing and implementing solutions to support application deployments, application monitoring, developers, QA, and content teams through the full software development lifecycle.
Able to work independently, assuming ownership for the design and programming of simple and complex tasks and responsible for dividing complex tasks into smaller tasks, which can then be tackled individually.
Should also be able to provide estimates for his tasks and assume ownership for these estimates.The individual in this position works with web applications and a variety of back-end technologies including Java, .
NET, and is comfortable with content management systems and e-commerce platforms.
Responsibilities :
Identify a multi-cloud strategy and respective management and monitoring tools
Work on and assist with the system architecture within AWS and or AliCloud
Assist in building and maintaining highly available systems
Update and help improve build and deployment processes
Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines
Operationally support existing cloud infrastructure
Take on special projects as necessary
Collaborate with stakeholders on governance and security best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in concentrations of computer science, management information systems, computer engineering or closely related fields
Experience in AWS utilizing EC2, S3, ELB / ALB, RDS, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway, ElasticSearch, ElastiCache, and Redis.
Experience in one or more of the following services and products : Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Bamboo, git / GitHub, Vagrant, Ansible and Packer
Linux server administration
Experience with production system monitoring tools and frameworks
Writing automation tools and scripts with languages such as NodeJs, Python, and Bash
Tuning and optimization of database management systems
Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and guidelines
Ability to collaborate with the engineering team as well as work independently on projects
Exceptional time management and ability to problem solve under pressure
Excellent judgment skills and team working abilities
Very strong verbal / written communication skills & excellent attention to detail
Flexibility in work schedule as needs arise
Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
