  • Procurement Business Partners (PBPs) manage a team of Strategic Sourcing Specialists and / or Category Managers (CMs) who serve as the primary liaison with executives and internal business customers and suppliers in defining advanced category spend strategies and the execution of high complexity / risk sourcing projects.
  • This role will focus on supporting internal customers in selecting, negotiating, contracting, and managing marketing / sales / sponsorship agencies and suppliers for Adobe teams including all business units globally.

    Currently, Adobe’s annualized global marketing, sales, and sponsorships spend is >

    $1B / year.

  • PBPs lead their teams as they actively contribute to major / strategic supplier performance initiatives aimed at bettering financial and operational performance
  • PBPs act as a trusted advisor and must demonstrate ability to build strong trusted relationships with C-level leaders and senior internal stakeholders
  • PBPs must be role models of Global Procurement values / behaviors
  • PBPs will manage a team of category managers (across the U.S., EMEA, and APAC) as the CMs :
  • serve as the primary liaison with executives and internal business customers and suppliers in defining advanced category spend strategies and the execution of highest complexity / risk sourcing projects
  • Obtain the best total cost of ownership (TCO), business and commercial terms with exceptional savings / value results (top 20 30%)
  • Jointly lead or lead cross-functional management teams and solicit executive support to plan sourcing strategies and supplier management programs aligned with business objectives
  • Pro-actively seek value / savings and efficiency opportunities across category spend, negotiate and report in the appropriate format
  • Routinely brings innovation from the supply base to support Adobe internal requirements
  • Preempts and prepares for marketplace movements and risk through category analysts
  • Actively pursuing knowledge through associated industry publications and events
  • Manage contracts to ensure that commercial obligations are met and the process for renewal or replacement of existing agreement is proactively managed and scalable to accommodate for Adobe's growth
  • Demonstrates assigned category expertise and business acumen
  • Lead commercial negotiations of large / high-risk agreements with strategic / critical suppliers to ensure Adobe receives the best value, associated cost savings, and assurance of favorable commercial terms
  • Ensure proper risk mitigation through legal terms as well as robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Liaise with legal for the negotiation of large / high-risk agreements to ensure favorable commercial terms
  • Report progress on a weekly basis, indicating work planning and work in progress. Add agreements, service details, and payment forecasts into procurement systems in a complete and timely manner
  • Team Lead role in driving process improvements, change initiatives, and strategic planning
  • Strong negotiator, guiding and leading the business to get the best result for Adobe
  • Exceptional understanding and ability to extract insight into spending patterns using Adobe Dash and other Adobe tools
  • Utilize, maintain, and innovate procurement tools and processes according to Global Procurement standards and expectations to speed / improve positive results / changes.
  • Acts as a role model for system updates and usage best practices.

  • Processes contracts according to Adobe Legal Playbook and policies
  • Applies SRM techniques to ensure the supply base is providing the required level of services, including but not limited to SBRs, spend analytics, etc.
  • ROLE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred : MBA; focus in Business Management, Supply Chain, and / or International Management)
  • Strategic Sourcing / Category Management experience required (Preference : 10+ years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Corporate Finance and / or Program Management in complex, global and hyper-growth environment)
  • Prior management experience is preferred (ideally 3+ years)
  • Ability to effectively build and lead global, cross-functional teams
  • Requires strong knowledge of procurement practices and techniques
  • High attention to detail and the exercise of sound judgment and decision-making
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to train and educate users in new processes, policies, and procedures or technologies
  • Exemplify excellent level of emotional intelligence (EQ) in positively influencing various stakeholders and improving business dynamics both within Global Procurement and broadly across Adobe;
  • evidence of continuous positive customer feedback

  • Keenly aware of personal strengths and weaknesses; great at receiving, applying, and giving useful feedback
  • Requires ability to read, interpret contract specifications within the Procurement process
  • Requires Purchasing systems and order management software knowledge
