Key responsibilities

  • Develop activities related to Health, Occupational Safety, Physical Safety and Environment. Brigade coordination, emergency committees, training, inspections and standardization of work procedures.
  • Inspect and register personal protective equipment so that it meets international standards to ensure the protection of workers.
  • Carries out occupational safety tours that have as a product reports and compliance monitoring with different departments.
  • Responds to and provides help to emergency situations that affect the operations of APM Terminals : Accidents, fires, oil spills, natural disasters, robberies, thefts, etc.
  • Conduct investigations of accidents, incidents and high-risk conditions.
  • Performs field inspections to ensure the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and laws on occupational safety.
  • Maintains records of talks, inspections, calls for attention and the Management System.
  • Oversee the implementation of work permits by following the approved procedure.
  • Performs occupational safety inductions to collaborators, visitors and clients.
  • Update the incident and accident management system.
  • Generates monthly reports on statistics collected during the month.
  • Is responsible for conditioning work areas to promote a safe work environment.
  • Responsible for managing re-certifications, chats, monitoring and control of the management system for the International BASC certification.
  • Manages resources related to physical security such as : CCTV, security officers, electronic access controls.
  • Lead research on issues related to theft, theft, drugs and cases related to internal compliance guidelines.
  • Communication with local authorities.
  • Coordinates drills as required by BASC and internal rules.
  • We are looking for

    University degree related to training in occupational safety, health or related.

  • At least five years of proven experience in occupational safety.
  • At least three years of experience in the management of physical security departments
  • Basic Office® management
  • Understanding of protocols for emergency care.
  • Understanding of the handling of chemical products.
  • Knowledge of standards and laws on occupational safety.
  • Experience in research processes.
  • Sebe be suitable for work at heights, hot; in conditions of high levels of noise, dust and heat.
  • English level of at least 70%.
  • Requires the development with field and office personnel.
  • Must be an organized profile, with ability to solve problems.
  • Preferably with training in first aid and CPR.
