Be part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at the Costa Rica Analytical Center supporting Global Consumer Banking with a role that gives you the opportunity to provide insight and analytics to Finance & Operations Business Partners with key information needed to make strategic, operational, and tactical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports consistent financial process across Global Consumer Banking Operations Finance
  • Supports financial projections, consolidations, and provides strategic leadership to drive consistency across Global Consumer Banking Operations Finance
  • Analyzes and accurately forecasts performance for Global Consumer Banking Operations Finance
  • Supports development of plans and the implementation and utilization of automation and tools across the Global Consumer Banking Operations Finance
  • Supports analysis to support Global Consumer Banking Operations Leadership in understanding expense dynamics and drive decision making
  • Apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools / methodologies when interpreting information and results
  • Integrate subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area
  • Understand how the work impacts the overall organization and bank strategies to make judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information
  • Work on Business as Usual and Ad-hoc request based on the business necessity. Specific activities include : Development of materials and analysis of key management review decks for Global Consumer Banking Operations Engage in time critical activities for FP&A teams such as forward looking activities including mid-
  • year & annual budgeting, outlooks and monthly estimate process Conducting monthly and quarterly reporting. However, focus of the team will be addressing ad hoc strategic issues that are complementary to regular Planning and Analysis processes

  • Apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques, models and the improvement of processes and work-
  • flow for the area while providing value added perspectives or advice

  • Drive standardization of activities including the identification of productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure there is a strong culture of high integrity, ethics and meritocracy
  • Qualifications

    Knowledge / Experience / Skills

    Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field with at least 6-10 years of experience, and at least 2-4 years of Planning and Analysis experience Broad understanding of financial systems and problem solving Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and partner with colleagues at all levels of the organization Strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models Strong analytical abilities and ability to identify business needs, formulate innovative and strategic solutions and following through with detailed execution Bilingual : English and Spanish.

    Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills Technical proficiency with Excel, Power Point and financial system reporting tools required.

    Knowledge on IBM Cognos TM1 is a plus Applies project management skills Be attention to detail oriented Ability to collaborate within a team while being able to work independently as an individual contributor Ability to question status quo and identify opportunities to reengineer / streamline processes Developed communication, diplomacy & presentation skills Ability to partner with senior stakeholders across businesses and geographies Show initiative / proactivity to solve problems independently and have some latitude to solve complex situations.

    Ability to anticipate questions and be prepared to answer them Ability to prioritize and organize work as needed, being able to delegate work to peers Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and embrace the changes Ability to manage multiple diverse priorities and work well under tight deadlines Able to multitask and comfort with manipulating data, adaptability and flexibility
