This vacancy is within the BL-EP Automotive Edge Processing group, which owns the automotive segment business for the i.
MX and i.MXRT products. The role is part of the global automotive product marketing team, with specific responsibility for the Americas region.
Job Summary :
Monitor the Design Win and revenue at Regional level for the Automotive i.MX portfolio
Drive technical and commercial engagement with the car makers and automotive tier 1 suppliers in the fields of infotainment, reconfigurable cluster and telematics for the Automotive industry.
Monitor market trends through participation in future project workshops at automotive car makers and tier 1 suppliers
Drive market growth for NXP’s automotive i.MX processor products through pursuit of design win opportunities
Manage third parties’ ecosystem creation tailored toward i.MX Automotive applications helping the proliferation, visibility and adoption of NXP i.MX product.
Promote NXP’s i.MX portfolio of processing solutions through participation in automotive trade events and participate in public speaking opportunities.
Identify the gaps between the NXP offering and customer need, and find a solution via internal development or via 3rd parties
Align the infotainment, reconfigurable cluster and telematics product requirements with the System and R&D Teams
Bring new product concepts to enhance the i.MX Auto roadmap
Maximize NXP Design Win opportunities working with the other P&L and maximizing NXP cross-selling
Key Challenges :
Effective marketing and business development and issue resolution
Mastering the complex technical and commercial aspects of the product line and market environment, in order to understand customer challenges and communicate solutions
Influencing and driving a large internal organization to achieve pre-determined goals
Delivering excellent written and oral communications both internally and externally
Building effective relationships with key contacts at customers, ecosystem partners and internal collaborators
Cross functional aspects :
Americas automotive sales and applications team
Global automotive product marketing team
Systems architecture and segment marketing teams
Product innovation teams
Tactical marketing and supply management
Job Qualifications :
10+ years’ experience in marketing and business development with electronics background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Preferable : 10+ years’ experience in embedded systems hardware and software development. Experience with NXP microcontrollers or microprocessors and knowledge of SW platforms and ecosystems is a plus.
