POSITION SUMMARY : Primarily responsible (at varying degrees) for the analysis, performance, administration and / or control of corporate systems utilized to support the business.
The System Specialist at this level plans, organizes, and directs multiple or large concurrent projects involving all phases of work, including providing technical and functional deliverables to meet established service delivery standards and user needs.
The position also supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to desktops and applications. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Automate processes
User / group management of Active Directory
Analyze and implement new technologies that are deemed beneficial to the company.
Document existing / new systems and processes
Provide escalation level support and training
Recommend and schedule repairs
PowerShell scripting
Ensure uptime of corporate applications
Audit critical applications
Windows OS patching
EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS :
Advanced knowledge of Windows OS and macOS
Intermediate level knowledge of PowerShell
Intermediate level knowledge of bash
Intermediate level knowledge of VDI technologies (Azure, AWS)
Azure AD / on-prem AD management
Strong knowledge of SCCM (Patching, Application deployment, OS deployment, Configuration baselines)
Strong knowledge of Jamf (Application deployment, OS settings deployment, Extension Attributes)
Proactively looks for ways to improve system infrastructure practices
Strong analytical skills and good problem-solving skills
Strong time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to create detail technical documents
Good knowledge of project life cycles and the ability to work in a team environment.
Ideally possesses 5+ years of experience in systems administration and maintenance
Should be comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or Associates Degree and equivalent related experience
An equivalent combination of education and 5 years of related work experience
Jamf Certified Associate is a plus
