The challenge

Adobe generated $13B revenue in FY 2020 and has completed $8B+ in strategic acquisitions since 2018. Our Corporate Development team drives Adobe’s inorganic growth roadmap in conjunction with our CEO, top team, and senior leaders.

The Corporate Development team drives Adobe shareholder value through exceptional, transformative opportunities.

We are looking for an executive with a proven track record to drive Adobe’s Corporate Development efforts broadly with specific focus on our Digital Media business unit.

The leader will strategically identify themes and landscapes, proactively source and cultivate key relationships with targets, evaluate opportunities with a balanced point of view, drive clean, efficient deal execution, and thoughtfully plan for post-merger integration.

This role will span acquisitions, divestitures, and direct investments.

  • The successful leader will collaborate seamlessly with Adobe's senior executives, Corporate Strategy and Business Development;
  • be sought out as a thought-leader and trusted advisor; cultivate strong direct and extended team; and drive world-class deal execution and value capture.

    What you’ll do

  • Partner with key internal partners to develop strategic investment themes and assess potential acquisition and investment opportunities.
  • Identify product gaps, evaluate build / partner / buy, and collaborate on target selection.
  • Navigate and influence decision-making by conducting holistic, meticulous analyses, driving the right conversations’ and getting to the heart of the issues.
  • Lead & coordinate all aspects of the M&A process (e.g., execution, negotiation, and due diligence, including financial modeling and valuation
  • Mentor and develop direct team members and extended partners through the deal process, including initial integration planning.
  • Develop external network of industry specialists to bring outside-in knowledge of market trends and opportunities. Establish a robust understanding of new markets, industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging companies.
  • What you need to succeed

  • Proven track record of delivering shareholder value through successful, diverse M&A.
  • Strategic thinker that connects the dots’. High EQ, executive influencing and business intuition.
  • Extensive, deep analytic skills. Maniacal attention to detail. Ability to adapt to ambiguous, evolving environments. High learning agility.
  • Consummate team player.

  • Excellent written communication skills, including presentation and memo formats. Strong spoken communication skills.
  • Deep interest and experience in Adobe’s key businesses (Document Cloud, Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud).
  • Proven strong people leadership & followership’. Commitment to coaching, mentoring and development within team and across organization.
  • 15+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development. Operations, general management experience preferred.
  • Top-tier academic background; MBA highly desired. Deep network of relevant companies and industry contacts.
