The Dynamics AX Business Analyst is responsible for enabling effective and efficient use of UA Brands’ ERP, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012R3.
As a strong business partner this resource should understand business challenges and opportunities and work with our IT resources to facilitate configuration and maintenance of value-added solutions to meet business requirements.
Additionally, this position is responsible for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
This person will act as a techno-functional subject matter expert for internal teams on Microsoft Dynamics AX projects (implementations, customization, integrations and more) and will be responsible for facilitating cross-functional requirements gathering and subsequent testing sessions.
Other responsibilities include light project management, data import, bug and enhancement ticket management, and process flow documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Analyze business process issues and improvements and provides solution recommendations to Business and IT management in timely manner.
Demonstrate the ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify cause, and anticipate implications.
Investigate problems with AX ERP modules (Finance, Call Center, Retail, Sales and Marketing), diagnose root causes, and resolve issues.
Document and assist users in defining Business Requirements, process maps, and use cases.
Investigate Feature Requests, clarify objectives, understand software functionality and recommend solutions using industry best practices.
Lead functional and technical requirement gathering, gap analysis and documentation on MS Dynamics AX 2012.
Participate in new software implementation and projects.
Develop project plans, establish and meet target dates and budget.
Fulfill ad-hoc business reporting needs and assists with interpretation of data.
Collaborate with developers, DB admins and end users.
Assist the programmers and developers through designing, programming, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting User initiatives.
Create and maintain documentation and standards including all pertinent IT Service Catalog entries.
Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
Work with all teams including technical, functional, as well external and offshore software.
Education / Experience / Skills :
BA or BS degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or related field.
3 + years of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ERP Systems support experience. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Finance modules including AP, AR, General Ledger, and Sales & Marketing.
3+ years of experience supporting and understanding of business processes for Dynamics AX 2012 ERP.
Should have completed at least 1 Full Life-Cycle Implementation of ERP. Hands-on implementation experience.
Demonstrated experience implementing / optimizing Dynamics AX 2012 R3 for commerce related businesses.
Experience in ERP gap analysis and requirements gathering.
Excellent communication, project management & presentation skills.
Time management skills are a must; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative.
Excellent documentation skills.
Strong analytical skills are required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and manage deliverables without supervision on time and on budget.
Appropriate handling of confidential information.
Prior experience working with teams of developers including offshore.
