Job Description

The Intel Validation Engineering (iVE) teams are essential to delivering an annual cadence of market leading products across the Client and Data Center market segments.

We validate, debug, and tune the newest designs and world-changing technologies that enrich the lives of every person on Earth.

This position is within the iVE Program Office which is responsible for not only leading the strategic long-range resource planning process (LRP) for the organization inclusive of Headcount, Expense and CAPEX needs required to support Intel's product roadmap but also the near-term budget management / execution process.

The Role

The iVE Strategic Capital Planner will lead the overall annual / quarterly CAPEX planning process from early product definition forecasts to purchase execution with a specific focus on Test and Measurement (O-scopes, JBerts, Protocol / Logic Analyzers, DAQs).

This role will have the unique opportunity to partner with multiple stakeholders across the engineering teams and other partner organizations such as finance, procurement, and the Test and Measurement COE to define the strategic long-range plan from not only a technical perspective but also from a business perspective.

Additionally, this role will partner with the near-term tactical planner and other stakeholders to unpack those long range resource plans into near-term execution strategies.

This position focuses on partnering and influencing strategic deliverables throughout the organization requiring a combination of business acumen, organization savvy, networking capabilities and expertise in technical areas.

The successful candidate will be a proven business partner with excellent communication skills, be comfortable managing ambiguity, have advanced problem solving and influence skills and intellectual curiosity to either learn the ins / outs of the Test and Measurement segment or leverage their existing technical knowledge to optimize the Test and Measurement equipment portfolio across iVE.

Key Responsibilities

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to :

Lead development of Test and Measurement roadmap by required category (ex. O-scopes, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, DAQs) over LRP horizon by partnering with Engineering teams, iVE Technical Office and Global Supply Chain Test and Measurement COE and other stakeholders as required

Identify and drive Cost Reduction Opportunities (CROs) across Test and Measurement portfolio by performing detailed technical analysis of existing inventory / future roadmap to identify equipment reuse / waterfall strategies as well as identify opportunities to increase equipment utilization resulting in overall demand reduction

Build effective partnerships with key stakeholders across engineering teams, finance, purchasing, supply chain, external vendors, iVE Program Office

Partner with iVE CAPEX tactical planner to identify and implement process enhancements to continuously improve CAPEX planning and execution to deliver outstanding value to iVE stakeholders

Develop and drive strategic reviews to iVE Executive Leadership team.

Consolidate total iVE CAPEX spending forecast across all categories (Emulation; FPGA; Test and Measurement; Construction) and lead annual / quarterly / project planning process / reviews with Sr. Management

Regular tasks include data analysis and modeling, forecast vs actuals, data visualization, and partnering with tactical teams on execution of the forecasts

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field of study.

  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in Project / Program Management; Data analysis and modeling experience ; Advanced Excel;
  • Power Point; MSFT Power BI

    Preferred Qualifications

    Strong executive-level communication skills including actively listening, influencing and negotiation

    Strong business planning skills including defining enterprise operational excellence

    Ability to deal with change and uncertainty

    Ability to build effective partnerships with different stakeholders

    Ability to work independently to deliver role / group charter; proactively drive analysis / projects resulting in recommendations to management.

    Test and Measurement industry experiences

    Post Si validation experience with technical knowledge of Functional / Electrical / Power and Performance validation Modes of Work (MoW)

    Hands on lab experience with multiple types of measurement equipment

    Test and Measurement equipment utilization calculation / tracking (ex.LUMA) knowledge

    Strong business acumen, strategic and logic thinking capability and entrepreneurship spirit

    MBA or related post-graduate Business Degrees
