Cloudera’s Support organization is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience. The project managers within Support achieves that goal by offering outstanding project management and process improvement through utilizing an exceptional skill set to accomplish objectives and goals.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal cross-functional team members to drive key aspects of support capability planning and implementation.
A Day in the Life
You will lead both new product introduction and support business transformation projects while partnering with key stakeholders throughout the organization including Support Service Delivery, Product Management, Marketing, Engineering and other key teams.
A successful Project Manager in Support is driven, self-motivated, resourceful and curious to solve problems.
Lead strategic support programs and projects, from concept / definition through planning, execution, delivery, and adoption
Work with Support leadership to determine program scope, ensure programs are aligned to business objectives, secure resources, and coordinate execution of key Support initiatives
Make data driven decisions to influence program strategy and drive collaborative outcomes
Lead cross functional teams and build, maintain, and communicate product launch plans and track the deliverables, milestones, risks and dependencies
Establish and report program-level metrics and success criteria (i.e. value, quality, cost, schedule, risk) to key program stakeholders
Anticipate bottlenecks, explore contingencies and implement risk mitigation strategies
Establish effective working relationships with executive staff, directors, and other functional leaders
Lead organizational change and program communications during the project lifecycle
Host regular business reviews with leadership and other key stakeholders to review key business objectives, share KPIs and make necessary adjustments
Delivers projects on time, with quality at or below anticipated costs
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5-6 years project management experience
Exceptional project management skills. Demonstrated working knowledge or one or more product management methodologies (LEAN, PMI, Agile)
Proven record of successfully managing multiple initiatives, from small to large scale projects, from concept through to implementation
Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Proven ability to deliver projects in a heavily matrixed organizational structure
A self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, hands-on and results-driven personality
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to effectively influence without authority, and to take initiative while inspiring others to deliver high-quality results
Strong Leadership skills. You have led complex, cross-functional teams in business transformation or product introduction projects delivering results on time and on budget.
Ability to recognize ineffective customer service interaction, identify gaps in quality of service and drive initiatives to improve service quality
Domain experience in technical support, customer service, customer success, new product introduction or business transformation in organizations supporting Cloud or SaaS offerings preferred
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
