You will be responsible for Adobe's safety policy and continuous improvement of our safety management, reporting directly to the Director, Global Safety & Security.
This includes safety-related crisis management in close partnership with the GSS Director for Risk, as well as collaboration and consultation with business leaders on the policies, strategic programs and processes to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
The position requires regular travel to Adobe global facilities working with Regional Security Sr. Managers, Regional Managers and Site Managers.
What you'll do
Ensure the organization has a method to identify current and future compliance requirements; engage with Site Leaders and BU Managers in their duty of care responsibilities to lead safety and eliminate or control identified hazards and risk
Responsible for the development and implementation of safety management system (SMS) globally
Drive the strategic and developing requirements of global E, H&S programs across all levels of the organization ensuring alignment with the Business Unit and Functional Groups
Support the Regional Security Managers and teams in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining the health and safety programs follow Safety Legislation and Regulations
Develop and build site Health E,H&S and Safety assessments (BS 18001) and inspections for all Adobe properties and communicate the findings, with recommendations, to Safety & Security Managers, Site Leaders and Business Units
Lead all aspects of the delivery of E, H&S for all sites and drives compliance with local regulations and relevant standards
Develop and assist in the coordination of training and awareness programs throughout the organization as required by Regulations and / or policy to include ERT and Safety Committees.
Establish critical metrics for key elements of the program, review performance and report on safety performance using metrics to key partners
Own the process for global illness and injury reporting, incident investigation and monitoring; where required lead such investigations and liaise with relevant Government authorities
What is needed for success
Proven knowledge of EH&S global legislation and / or regulations requirements relating to the high-tech industry
Ability to prepare and present multi-media presentations
Strong multi-level relationship building skills needed
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a global team
Strong leadership skills
Investigative experience required
Confirmed experience in crisis management, business operations
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and to handle emergency situations
Excellent customer service skills, verbal, written communications and professional attitude
Above average computer and keyboard knowledge and ability to learn new systems and programs
Bachelor’s degree or 5-8 years of experience in the safety & security industry;
3-5 years of direct responsibility for the EH&S business function; experience gained globally preferred
Certification from registered H&S authorities International Standards e.g. ISO, OHSAS, IOSH, NEBOSH, CIEH (trained trainer in H&S and Business Continuity)
Certified Internal Auditor BS OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001
