Position Summary :

The Manager, GBS Shared Services Productivity & Performance Management O2C will play a key leadership role in driving productivity and performance throughout GBS globally.

The individual will lead a governance program around Productivity across the global workstreams primarily focusing on the Order to Cash (O2C) workstream.

The role will drive the O2C productivity program management including project execution governance, setting and monitoring of productivity targets, definitions and calculation methodology.

They will be responsible for advancing ideas (via the productivity funnel) that will improve organizational performance.

This role will also support in leading value add initiatives with the businesses by sharing best practices being driven in the centers.

The objective would be to prepare Thermo Fisher to effectively & efficiently scale up to the company’s 2030 vision of becoming a $50B revenue organization

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the O2C Governance Program on Productivity : Weekly Workstream meetings with Operations, PPI, Automation, IT and Process Leads, overall prioritization of the O2C project funnel and execution management for the program
  • Act as a filter for new ideas that come from within the organization (via productivity funnel) and advance those ideas that will improve organizational performance
  • In coordination with Workstream leads, support in leading the definition of savings / productivity targets and savings calculation methodology.
  • Monitor realization of benefits, including tracking financial and qualitative results

  • Align with Sr. Leadership on investment requirements for proposed productivity initiatives. Review return on investment (ROI) calculations and evaluate proposed benefit realization, including assessing confidence in value and timeline after accounting for level of risk
  • Support the management of productivity measurement and visualization of Monthly / Quarterly productivity reporting, including the development of dynamic productivity tools / dashboard
  • Support the preparation of Volume and Cost per transaction analysis to assist with decision making & Identify opportunities for Ideal Org design / structure for operations teams
  • Support activity mapping exercise for processes and time in motion for employees in current state and re-measure post productivity initiatives to track actual attainment of productivity targets
  • Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of progressive work experience in finance, accounting with 3-5 years shared services environment or in a consulting capacity
  • Project / Program Management experience is a must
  • CPA or Strong Accounting background preferred
  • Experience in a Productivity & Performance Management team / role would be a plus
  • Analytical and problem solving capacities to synthesize large quantities of complex data to generate meaningful insights
  • Proven ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership both internally and externally, and influence peers and senior management in a complex, geographically dispersed matrix organization
  • Self-directed, dynamic and customer-centric change-agent who thrives in a challenging and changing environment
  • Highly collaborative; aligns effectively with colleagues and business partners to deliver results while maximizing the success of all contributors
  • Skilled communicator and proven relationship builder, able to operate within a multitude of formal and informal networks while managing the competing interests of varied stakeholders
  • Champions productivity improvements through Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and has a commitment to continuous learning
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
