Job Purpose :
ICG KYC BSU Costa Rica is a business office support / control function (currently supporting AMERICAS) responsible for the approval process of the KYC Records within Citi’s KYC risk management program.
The unit is responsible for ensuring compliance with both local regulatory requirements and Citigroup standards for Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
The Business Support Unit - BSU Ops Support Analyst is an AML / KYC (Anti Money Laundering / Know Your Customer) support & control role within the Institutional Clients Group.
BSU Ops Support Analyst is responsible for coordinating different efforts and teams over their daily functions, production & quality.
The candidate will assist the Operations Manager in the leadership function within the department.
AML / KYC the background check’ or first line of defense against doing business with a client that is engaged in potentially illegal or damaging business operations, potentially impacting our franchise’s reputation and finances.
Coordinate and support efforts among teams under a specific Operations Manager, may involve other linked streams.
Provide support, guidance and lead team members
Manage relationships with Relationship Management teams and Compliance for the segment and countries supported by the department
Work with Team & Ops Manager on goal setting, performance management planning / implementation
Assist relationship and coverage teams globally in completion of the KYC Records
Coordinate production & quality performance and ensure coaching needs are identified and met on the team
Communicate and coordinate with management of ICG from coverage, compliance, implementations, risk, and operations in various products
Assist with Process Design and management for department.
Support oversight for Adherence with Citi and regulatory policies and procedures as well as housekeeping standards, team controls & processes
Management of ad-hoc departmental projects as assigned
Support maintenance of a workforce with capability to execute flawlessly
Work with Ops Manager to develop team members in line with versatility matrix & team needs.
Ensure requirements are complete in Citi-KYC and team’s reference documentation is in place.
Provide periodic quality & production reports to Management Team.

Knowledge / Experience :
2-5 years of experience in quality, production, customer service roles, banking or finance related services, or any similar
People management / coordination experience is desired
Experience in control / risk or Compliance (AML / KYC) function (an advantage)
Knowledge and experience of the technologies and processes used in Citi
Knowledge of AML policies and regulatory requirements (Advantage)
Experience of dealing with management in a multi-function environment
Experience of dealing with senior management in a multi-function environment
Experience in corporate or consumer banking services (Advantage)
