Twitter Supply Engineering team is a key function within the Core Infrastructure team. We are seeking a specialist and motivated Cloud Program / Vendor Manager who is passionate about working with internal customers and external cloud vendors for our large-scale infrastructure deployments.
We are looking for a team member with a proven analytical and operational track record of managing supplier relationships and doing complex analysis on cloud offerings.
What You'll do :
As a Cloud Program / Vendor Manager you will be responsible for collaborating with Twitter Engineering Teams and our cloud vendors to analyze usage, optimize cost, and ensure best in class support and deployments.
Your operational and analytical experience managing and working with cloud vendors will be used in a complex compute and storage environment.
You will provide cost monitoring, recommendations, and advice to help maintain cloud infrastructure in optimal configuration from a budgetary perspective.
You are a problem solver who loves gathering information from various sources, analyzing and presenting your recommendations to technical teams, business partners and management staff.
You feel comfortable working in a data-rich and dynamic environment, putting various pieces of the puzzle together to create a coherent picture.

Who You Are :
You will have a high level of engagement with Twitter Engineering, Internal Infrastructure teams, Capacity Planning, Finance Teams, and Cloud Vendors.
You will get involved with creating cost optimization models with engineering services that are utilizing cloud services.
Responsibility for consolidating inputs for platform services and vendor business reviews.
POC for consolidating inputs for teams involved in usage and demand projections
Develop cost forecasts for operating expenditure projections.
You will collaborate with Engineering Teams and Cloud providers on delivery of capacity, new products and capabilities.
Maintain responsibility for ensuring that our costs are well understood, identifying and driving optimization activities to ensure we are making the most out of our investments, and forecasting costs.
Work closely with the Finance team to implement the cloud cost support systems needed for a quickly growing infrastructure.
Develop insights and views into cost and usage data that enable technical, business, and finance partners to understand spend.
Create engineering awareness and drive behavior change to make significant cost and efficiency improvements across the organization.
Use software tools to provide data visualization, and gather direct feedback from the respective engineering teams; create cloud services usage dashboards.
Be the main point of contact for our cloud providers and maintain current knowledge of relevant cloud optimization, regulations, policies, and procedures
Degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Business or other quantitative fields
Combined 5+ years of professional experience working with cloud and / or managing cloud vendors in technical or hyper-scale settings.
Deep analytical skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communications.
Ability to think strategically and tactically, with persistent attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
