About the role :

Arm's Carrier infrastructure segment marketing group’s role is to develop the programs, ecosystem, and relationships to drive ARM penetration into carrier network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include strategic sub-segment plans, ecosystem execution, operator engagement, and creating awareness and ultimately preference at key OEMs.

Methods, tasks, and actions include a focus on influencing key OEM and Ecosystem partners to port to, and work with, Arm, Inc and its partners to win key designs.

The critical measurements of the team are based on driving design wins versus competitive architectures, driving the mid-to-long term vertical market strategy, creating OEM pull, and working with sales to drive strategic engagements.

What will I be accountable for?

This role will be driving technical relationships with key OEM and Network operator partners, with particular attention to wireless infrastructure.

Responsibilities include identifying detailed requirements for target systems by engaging with key OEMs and eco-system partners within the carrier networking segment.

  • The focus will be on the emerging 5G requirements and capturing the critical success factors for next generation antenna systems;
  • base station and mobile compute platforms. Efforts will include helping Arm internal groups and eco-systems partners to translate these requirements into demonstrable product results that illustrate Arm's value add for each.

    Part of the role will involve tracking relevant industry standards to track and report key changes expected at the systems level and will require extensive collaboration with sales, segment marketing, product marketing and engineering groups within Arm.

    Additionally, this position will establish and leverage relationships throughout the Arm ecosystem, from silicon partners to service providers and industry associations, in support of these engagements.

  • Responsible for capturing and publishing technical requirements that will shape how Arm targets certain wireless infrastructure segments of the market.
  • Build ad hoc teams including internal technologists, segment marketing, ecosystem program managers, operator team, and sales, along with external parties such as semiconductor and ecosystem partners.
  • Develop strong relationships with industry partners and influencers, Corporate Marketing, Segment Marketing and Processor Division management teams
  • Job Requirements

    What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

    Essential

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Ideally, candidates will have a business or marketing degree in addition to a technical education.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a role within the infrastructure / networking OEM / software / silicon ecosystem / standards community.
  • Strong technical knowledge of networking hardware and / or processor architectures.
  • Strong technical knowledge of software both open source and embedded software for networking products.
  • Able to engage in strategic relationships within target OEMs and MNO’s
  • Ability to analyze industry specifications and initiatives with a view to developing internal strategies for developing competitive product architectures
  • Ability to work with the team and help define new technical concepts and business strategies to solve technical and business challenges or create new business opportunities
  • Capable of aligning multiple stakeholders to pursue new strategies and tactical implementation of multi-pronged strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Exceptional skills in content development for presentation; solid PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of / or ability to lead capture and presentation of technical benefits of a variety of embedded and microprocessor concepts including SW and ecosystem
  • Desirable

  • Experience in open source software development for communications systems.
  • Working knowledge of ARM cores, tools, boards, applications software, and systems
  • Experience working with networking OEMs at technical and business levels
