The Data Engineering Support Manager will be leading a team that will support the Oxygen project and its applications.
This person is in charge of overseeing the performance of a technical support team, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Their responsibilities revolve around assessing the performance of the workforce, resolving complex issues and identifying customer needs.
Improve overall department and organization efficiency and performance by identifying opportunities to enhance internal processes.
They may gather data related to customer contact and interactions and use this data to prepare reports and analyses of which processes are working and which can be improved.
Work in an agile / iterative development environment.
Report issues and risks to Support Team Leader and Program Manager on a regular basis.
Have the ability to build the performance metrics for the Support Team.
5+ years of hands on professional experience in IT related roles.
2-3 years of experience leading teams.
Problem solving with strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex requirements and define technical / functional advanced solutions.
Knowledge of Agile software development lifecycle, including experience of applying change control procedures and disciplines required.
A degree in computer science or related field
Desired experience / knowledge on data engineering / ETL development experience working with data at scale.
Minimal technical requirements : Cloud experience (AWS preferred); experience with programming languages such as Java, Scala or Python;
Big data technologies Hadoop, Spark, etc.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal English language skills are required.
