General Summary

Define, design and develop complex radio frequency integrated circuits in complex SoC’s and discrete RFIC’s. Perform radio signal path and circuit topology analysis and detailed transistor-level design of highly-integrated transceivers and associated blocks for wireless applications, 4G, 5G, WLAN, BT and GPS standards using advanced process technologies.

Utilize complex analysis, simulation, engineering, science and mathematical principles to compose algorithm structures to solve problems.

Assess processing requirements and select devices to meet requirements. Debug and assess performance of algorithms in actual application hardware.

The responsibilities of this role include :

  • Working independently with no supervision.
  • Providing supervision to other supervisors / managers who may be direct reports.
  • Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and / or the ability to meet objectives;
  • errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process / product or time between decisions and results; errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.

  • Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and / or detailed information to multiple individuals / audiences with differing knowledge levels.
  • Role may require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.

  • Overall responsibility to ensure budgets, schedules, and performance standards for functional areas and organization are realistically set and attained.

  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees design specifications across teams to meet customer needs.
  • Holds teams across multiple areas accountable for architecture and design tasks to ensure timely, on budget completion of project milestones.
  • Oversees the resolution of highly complex architecture, design, or verification problems and ensures resolutions are in alignment with product Plan of Record and roadmap.
  • Oversees the simulation process to ensure circuit performance is in alignment with system requirements.
  • Oversees cross-functional efforts on the layout generation of circuit designs.
  • Oversees the implementation of testing plans for multiple products and large teams and ensures algorithms and test cases appropriately; secure test resources.
  • Fully address bugs and product needs; coordinate across multiple functional team to resolve internal and end-customer issues.
  • Acts as a domain expert and guides and promotes a culture that encourages others to acquire knowledge of industry trends, previous generation's advances, competitors' products, and advances related to RFICs.
  • Creates and communicates an organizational-wide, long-term vision to lead the industry in next generation RFICs; drives teams to develop innovative ideas for new directions to explore.
  • Defines, drives, and writes the documentation requirements and cross functional consistency.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
  • Monitors and utilizes computers for more than 6 hours a day and / or test equipment for more than 3 hours a day.
  • Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and / or vendors both in person and remotely.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Education :

    Masters - Electrical Engineering, See the required degree associated with years of work experience

    Work Experiences :

    3+ years experience with designing RF / Analog circuits for wireless products (e.g., LNA's, PLL's) with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

    10+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.2+ years of academic or professional experience using two or more of the following software : CADENCE, Virtuoso, ADS.

    2+ years of product experience with conception, design, and commercialization.5+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).

    7+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports). ,9+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas : Design of receiver and transmitter RF / Analog circuits, Design of high-performance RF frequency synthesizers, Digital control and signal processing, Product experience from conception, design, and product commercialization, Electro Magnetic simulation / modeling ,Ph.

    D. in Electrical Engineering with internship or publication ,3+ years experience in the transistor level design of RF analog integrated circuits.

    with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineer,5+ year of product experience with conception, design, and product commercialization.

    3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above) ,4+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization.

    2+ years working with operating budgets and / or project financials
