The upcoming Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo in Jalisco, Mexico rests on 3,000 acres of a protected natural reserve on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.

Most of its 155 rooms will boast exceptional panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, enveloped by the surrounding jungle and lush golf course.

This position reports to the Director of Sales and requires legal working authorization in Mexico.

  • Master Your Craft :

    The National Leisure & Group Sales Manager promotes and sells to the leisure & groups market in defined region of the Mexican and Latin American markets for the property.

    Generates hotels / resorts awareness through direct phone sales; direct sales calls, tradeshows and networking groups. Works closely with sales and marketing teams to solicit, sell and confirm leisure business required to meet budgeted sales goals for their property.

    Candidate should possess the ability to solicit leisure and group travel. This position requires a high degree of independent judgement and discretion on decision making and managing confidential information of the property.

    As Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo is an emerging destination previous experience managing an emerging destination would be advantageous.

    Has the ability to be a Public Ambassador for Four Seasons Hotels.

    Desired Skills and Experience :

  • Luxury hotel Sales minimum of 5 years in the leisure and / or groups market. Proven sales track record required.
  • Identify and target leisure agencies that will generate business on behalf of hotels but not conflict with WSO efforts.
  • Identify and target group customers that will generate business on behalf of hotels but not conflict with WSO efforts.
  • Negotiate, draft, generate and confirms / signs group contracts, proposals and addendums that ensure hotels budget and revenue targets are achieved.
  • Adjust group pricing and recommend group concessions as needed to secure group business in support of hotels budget targets.
  • Negotiate, draft, generate proposals, contracts and addendums that ensure the resorts budget and revenue targets are achieved.
  • Utilize various prospecting resources to solicit and secure business on behalf of hotels.
  • Use company wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events and reporting for leisure business development.
  • Follow up on all business inquiries and leads and qualify business to generate leisure room nights.
  • Create and execute account plans for assigned market territory to ensure maximum leisure revenue and budgeted leisure targets are achieved for the property.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and direct sales goals including outside sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and entertainment as outlined.
  • Assist Director of Sales in the development of new programs and sales campaigns in an effort to obtain additional sales from the various market niches.
  • Assist Director of Sales with the implementation, follow-through and updating of the quarterly action plans.
  • Explores new ways to increase revenue.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Pre-opening experience is a plus.
