The Fulfillment Operations team within Micro Focus is looking to fill the role of Software Product Release Manager / Product Configuration Specialist.

This team helps facilitate software product entitlement and fulfillment setup for all Micro Focus products. In this role, you will be responsible for working through the Product Lifecycle with product teams and other stakeholders on determining the best way to structure, setup and deliver software products to our customers ensuring schedules are met.

Your guidance to, and influencing of, product teams will drive the customer experience and will have an immediate contribution to customer satisfaction.

You will be driving software product release deliverables and managing and communicating the overall release progress. You will also be responsible for compliance with both corporate and business policies and apply best practices developed by the team.

We are looking for an individual with a combination of technical expertise and project / program management experience. The job requires you to work with colleagues in the US, as well as in Europe and Asia Pacific.

Candidates are expected to be flexible with regards to their work schedule and be available for meetings outside regular local business hours.

Software Product Release Managers / Product Configuration Specialists provide Fulfillment Operations support throughout the life-cycle of a release through the Product to Market process.

They help to drive consistent customer licensing and software experience across all product portfolios and work closely with product teams to define licensing and software delivery strategy.

Software Product Release Managers / Product Configuration Specialists are responsible for managing the license product setup in our fulfillment system, which include : product / version / media management, license key configuration, coordinating manufacturing release to general availability activities, and assisting with fulfillment and download escalations associated with level 3 licensing support.

Responsibilities :

Partner with product teams to understand release criteria and ensure release goals are met

Review business case to ensure product teams requirements are understood and can be supported by fulfillment systems

Coordinates activities of supporting Service Providers; tracks progress against established plan and makes decisions to alter or update schedule to meet product requirements and development schedule

Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to implement changes to product, process, or program plan to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and established product roadmaps and schedules

Define product setup, which includes product version definition, license structure configuration and media version management

Manage support licensing escalations and drive to resolution

Education and Experience Required :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.

Typically 3-5 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills :

Using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Demonstrated experience coordinating matrixed teams and resources.

Ability to create and manage program schedules.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.

Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
