General Summary :

This position is part of a regional team of Roaming Agreement Specialists responsible for successfully delivering requested projects concurrently.

The ability to interact with various organizations and individuals throughout the company as well as with customers and roaming partners is crucial to coordinate testing for IREG / TADIG.

  • Must have a strong understanding of the IREG / TADIG applications and testing methodology; Must be able to lead / conduct SIM administration, Configuration and Support of testing, and conduct IREG and TADIG testing;
  • very strong knowledge of GSM Industry standards.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

    40 %IREG / TADIG Testing

  • Manage the IREG / TADIG switching & signaling support for Roaming Partner set up
  • Ensure switch / network translations for the establishment of roaming services is set-up timely and correctly
  • Manage test plan and schedule
  • Coordinate with customers, roaming partner, 3rd party HW & SW vendors to establish support & resolve problems
  • Resolve internal / external conflicts as needed
  • Ensure standard processes and procedures are followed
  • Escalation point of contact for all client and roaming partner issues
  • Lead / Conduct SIM Administration
  • Provide configuration and support during IREG and TADIG testing
  • Conduct IREG and TADIG testing
  • Create and send commercial launch letters
  • 60 %Roaming Coordination

  • Attend project / product related meetings
  • Build, administer and report on project plans
  • Roaming data analysis for customers, including :
  • Identification of roaming trends through RAP reporting (i.e. reject files) trending analysis includes evaluating top reject codes, reject amounts and Roaming Partners to determine recommendations to correct and prevent repetitive roaming issues
  • Monitor and analyze stopped files
  • Monitor and analyze voice, data, and sms volumes to identify top 20 Roaming Partners
  • Work jointly with vendors to ensure they are operating in alignment with agreed upon terms
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to assist with roaming quality issues;
  • Coordinate industry notifications for updated AA.14, IR.21, IOT and other relevant industry roaming documents
  • liaise with the customer internal teams to assist with issues related to roaming fraud
  • Monthly reconciliation of TAP / RAP files between the Customer billing system and the customer’s clearing house to validate the number of files and amount processed and rejected.
  • Reconciliation includes both TAP / RAP files sent and received to the customer billing system

  • TAP / RAP file processing services, including :
  • Investigation of RAP files to accept and dispute issues
  • Communication with billing vendors and the Customer’s Clearing House and Roaming Partners on the Customer’s behalf
  • Identification of systemic issues with roaming partners or vendor that cause RAP files
  • Ensuring roaming partners are sending CDRs in accordance with commercial agreements.
  • Subscriber roaming experience improvement services, including :
  • Proactive investigation and troubleshooting of roaming issues
  • Delivery of recommendations to improve subscriber experience with Customer’s top twenty (20) roaming partners
  • Monitor and analyze the subscriber experience for high usage subscribers.
  • Roaming partner analytics, including :
  • Deliver additional roaming partner recommendations
  • Provide process improvement services, including delivery of recommendations on ways to streamline roaming, clearing and revenue processes
  • Provide recommendations on Roaming partners to focus on that may not generating revenue for Customer.
  • Recurring Reporting, including :
  • Provide monthly roaming partner and financial trending
  • Provide roaming partner analysis by call type
  • Provide payables / receivables information and reject information
  • 100 %Total Time (Must Equal 100%)

    Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in telecommunications, IT or business-related field preferred (experience can replace the degree requirement)
  • 5+ years of roaming coordination experience
