Roche Services Americas is one of the Roche Shared Services Centers worldwide providing Finance, Procurement services to various countries in the Americas region.

The SSC will be based in San José, Costa Rica and report to the General Manager (GM) of Shared Services Center Americas.

You, as the HR Director will be responsible for all HR related topics for the Americas SSC and the strategic business partner to the GM and the Leadership Team (LT).

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Building, developing and leading the local HR organization
  • Building People Strategy, HR policies and guideline in alignment with internal and external regulations
  • Shaping, driving and executing the overall people strategy in line with business strategy aligned with global requirements
  • Consulting, advising, coaching and partnering with the GM on people and organizational / business needs
  • Drive organizational effectiveness including change management for assigned client groups
  • Providing strategic decision making, leadership and planning for the effective use of human resources team
  • Full budget responsibility for assigned functional area
  • Ensuring alignment with agreed group, functional and regional initiatives as well as business strategy and successful site execution
  • Developing strategic HR initiatives to increase productivity, quality and complaince
  • Ensuring all business activities are comply with relevant Company SOPs, local laws and are of high ethical standards
  • Ensuring best practices are shared across teams
  • You have a Masters Degree in Human Resources Manager or Business Management and 8 plus years of experience in Human Resources Management area, preferably within an SSC set up.

    You will also bring the following skills and experience :

  • Should possess a full range of functional HR skills - Workforce Planning, Recruitment, Performance Management, Compensation, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Succession Planning and Change Management
  • 5 plus years of demonstrated leadership experience as a line manager
  • Strong skills around strategy, focus, vision and being able to deliver a roadmap with a business case
  • Substantial experience working with diverse senior leaders
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Working in a matrix organization and multi-cultural environment
  • Language : English and Spanish required, Portuguese is a plus
