MSD’s Business Service Center (BSC), located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes.
The BSC Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across MSD business divisions and markets for the Americas region.
The responsibilities of the Collections Senior Analyst include analyzing credit data and financial information of our clients, partners.
Determine the risk level the terms proper credit limit terms based on financial data and analysis. Credit analysts will prepare reports based upon their findings on financial data investigation, in order to help make decisions about the risk associated on customer credit limits, terms.
Basic accounting and finance, statistics, ratio analysis, calculus, economics, industry assessment and financial statement analysis required.
Main Responsibilities :
Gather information about clients, reading financial briefings, assessing, analyzing and interpreting financial information.
Keeping company credit exposures within set risk bearing limits.
Use credit-scoring systems to support the analysis, properly asses the client financial status and references, information available to ensure a strong analysis and proper recommendation.
Develop and prepare spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications.
Examine financial transactions and credit history case by case (applications, statements, balance sheets, legal documents etc)
Completing credit limit application forms and submitting for approval based on GOA (Grant of Authority) and credit policies.
Adhere to credit policy and guidelines.
Complete ratio, trend and cash flows analyses and create projections. Draft models of credit information that predict trends and patterns.
Monitor corporate portfolio asset quality on an ongoing basis.
Main requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance (Or career in progress)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Credit Analysis
OTC-Credit Analysis experience preferred
Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with Financial Analysis, Balance sheet and results.
Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company
Business Level fluency (oral and written) in Spanish and English languages
Experience in Share service centers, startups or migrations.
Team player with a focus on collaboration
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required
Preferred requirements : SAP experience
