Provides support and / or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company’s products.
Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort.
Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget.
Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies. Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc.
This operations manager position is critical to support PDM NPI, Global fulfillment and order fall-out resolution functions.
The core responsibilities' include, leading a team of expert employees working on cross-functional and BU initiatives as well delivering product structuring activities across the E2E value chain and support PDM related order fallout resolution by collaborating with various functions like Sales Ops, Order Mgmt & Care, fulfillment, Supply Chain and Product Engineering.
Partner with global business groups and global functions and drive the governance process for managing the material master and BOM's in HPE systems
Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors coordinating, managing, and leading programs to drive the engineering development and implementation of products and service offerings.
Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.
Education and Experience Required :
First level university degree or equivalent experience required.
May have advanced university degree.
PMP / PMI certification preferred.
Typically 10 or more years of related work experience, including 2 to 5 years of people management experience.
Knowledge and Skills :
Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
Product master data management in SAP systems and in-depth understanding of Product Modeling, Order Management and Supply Chain domains knowledge.
Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.
