Job summary

Amazon’s Immigration Team is growing its best-in-class team to provide exceptional support to employees, candidates, and other internal stakeholders.

We have a bold vision for the future. Over the next three years, we plan to build operational excellence through scalable, compliant processes and new technology to provide our customers with immigration support and services that meet and exceed expectations.

We are looking for someone to lead a team at the front lines of customer and partner support providing the answers and guidance they seek, when and how they need it.

The ideal candidate is driven to delight customers and has a background in service delivery, process design and continuous improvement.

In addition, the right candidate has excellent organization, communication and listening skills, a demonstrated ability to develop teams, manage multiple projects and responsibilities, and is unapologetic about having high standards when it comes to customer service and quality of work.

Key job responsibilities

People Management :

  • Establish and achieve performance goals and objectives in line with the Immigration team’s vision and goals
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Amazon’s policies and procedures; additional responsibilities include interviewing, training, and motivating employees;
  • planning, assigning, and directing work; and effective conflict resolution

  • Create a safe, trusting environment for communication based on open dialogue; encourage team members to express views
  • Identify areas of opportunity in the team and develop clear and impactful action plans to close gaps and build the needed capabilities
  • Service Delivery :

  • Ensure the successful transition of new programs into the Service team, enabling the team to meet service level expectations from the start
  • Create training, execution, and capacity plans
  • Perform audits to ensure tasks are executed in a timely manner, without friction or defects, and build actions plan for improvement
  • Define, communicate, and present team metrics to leadership team
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities
  • Roll-up your sleeves to manage overflow capacity and meet deadlines when needed and build short-term / long-term counter measures

    Amazon’s Immigration organization is a group of project managers, analysts, and experienced immigration subject matter experts who act as strategic partners and consultants to business leaders and partner support teams.

    The team is continuing to grow its presence across the globe. The team centrally manages worldwide immigration filings and the vendors that support Amazon, and delivers projects to improve cost, quality, policy, compliance, and experience for immigration services at Amazon.

    We are passionate about using technology to develop and implement simple and efficient business processes and a team culture that focuses on innovation to drive a great customer experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of relevant customer service, shared service, program or project management experience
  • 4+ years of people management experience

  • 4+ years of Recruitment / HR / Immigration experience
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and sound analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in operations, process optimization, and launching new programs
  • Customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to delight others ability to serve multiple customers and deliver an excellent employee experience
