Manager - WW GTM Shared Services
Planning & Compensation.
This role reports to the WW GTM Shared Service Senior Manager in the Plan to Pay Pillar.
He / She will be responsible for leading the Sales Compensation Operations Support Team for global sales operations. He / She will lead, collaborate, and manage a mature and highly skilled / experienced Sales Compensation Team.
Responsible for ensuring the team execute on delivering and partnering with the Sales Operations and Sales Field teams.
The Sales Compensation Support team is responsible for providing dedicated support on compensation-related issues resolution to the Sales Operations and Sales Field teams, such as order payments, plan set up inquiries, exception requests, plan updates, etc.
We are looking for a dynamic energized sales leader that excels in high-profile roles, a leader who can build and improve teams and processes.
Primary Responsibilities of the role :
This role is primarily responsible for ensuring a balanced workload across the AMER Planning & Compensation team and providing them with the necessary assistance and support.
This requires detailed knowledge of Account & Territory Planning and Compensation policies & processes. In addition, this role is responsible to support Compensation team management with special projects to support, as well as the following responsibilities :
Coach, mentor and be the manager to your direct reports ensuring they operate and deliver aligning to our corporate EPIC values
Tactically to ensure your team are performing as expected
Metrics management (Key Performance Indicators, Business Information Metrics, improvements)
SalesForce.com / Case Management Tool Enhancement / Requirements Governance (maintenance, follow-up. Updates, etc.)
Provide critical business insight to your designated business partners based on business acumen and data analysis, and be able to identify issues and recommend action plans
Dive deep into details to understand how systems, tools, and processes are working today, assess how that matches long term strategies
Support the business's ad hoc cyclical operational needs such as planning exercises, post Qtr analysis, quota setting, etc.
Develop any additional required metrics and communications strategies to drives better outcomes or improves the overall operational efficiency of the team
Ensure you establish solid partnerships with all key stakeholders and business partners to assist you and your teams’ overall efforts

Required Skills / Experience
10+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations or Business Operations
10+ years of experience managing multicounty teams of 10+ people
Strong leader, self-starter, and a proven team player in a high achievement-oriented environment
Ability to interact and communicate with various levels in the organization from individual contributor to senior executives
High energy and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Proven experience in building scalable process across multiple teams / stakeholders
Strong / Excellent Analytical skills, Information management skill
Excellent Customer Service skill
Project management experience
Experience managing cross-culturally, internationally, across multiple time-zones
Ability to interview and collaborate with VMware internal organizations, Finance, Data Management, Senior Management, etc.
to gather input on cases / scenarios to resolve commissions issues
A degree is a must. In addition, a Diploma in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field will be an added advantage.
