Summary

Americas Cloud Ecosystem Business Development (BD) Manager will be responsible for driving engagement / investment into key ecosystem players in North Americas Amazon, Google, Microsoft and IBM.

The role will be located on the West coast with the expectation of 50-60% travel to properly interface to the customer and relevant business lines.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with the largest and most innovative ecosystem players in the technology industry and shape their roadmaps (leveraging NXP technology) that will impact every region where they operate.

With your experience, you will identify key use cases in these ecosystems that NXP can facilitate and drive both parties towards enabling these solutions for our common customers.

Facilitating alignment between key Cloud ecosystem needs, product and roadmap deliverables will be a critical function of the role.

As a BD manager with NXP you will be part of a global Go-to-Market team that delivers 2x market growth for all NXP’s businesses by building and maintaining strong relationships with the customers, Cloud partners and within NXP.

You will leverage your knowledge of the industry and customers’ ecosystem to position NXP and execute innovative approaches to outmaneuver the competition every day!

Responsibilities :

  • Owns the design, deployment and execution of a winning strategy to engage critical Cloud ecosystem players leveraging NXP technology (SW, HW, and services).
  • Proactively identifies new use cases where NXP can enable new features for our partner networks
  • Develops a deep technical understanding of NXP core competencies (processing, security, and connectivity) such that he / she can apply this understanding to solving each ecosystem player’s needs.
  • Facilitates communications between the ecosystem partner and key business units to understand all requirements for these ecosystems.
  • Responsible for creating the business case to support investment areas in these key ecosystem players.
  • Responsible for identifying key Product Requirement Document (PRD) features to meet ecosystems needs and differentiate NXP solutions
  • Works closely with MARCOM to message key accomplishments to communicate to the broader set of mutual customers such that NXP can reap the benefits of the ecosystem investments.
  • Provide deal dynamics intelligence including product requirements, decision criteria, roadblocks, timeline, budget, competitors
  • Identifies key decision makers within ecosystem executive team, engineering, supply management and establishes relationships in favor of NXP
  • Negotiate and facilitate business issues / terms including pricing, contracts, and deliveries
  • Be highly accountable to individual and team commitments
  • Maintain awareness of major customer trends, trade development, and competitive activity and share them with the Product and Marketing team
  • Qualifications :

  • Internship in sales, product marketing, or business development in semiconductor industry or related field
  • BSEE or BSCS preferred, and relevant technology experience
  • Interest in selling System Level solutions inclusive of MCU / MPU (inclusive of software ecosystem), security. wireless connectivity and networking / storage products.
  • Experience with Amazon, Google, Microsoft or IBM cloud platform is preferred.
  • Technically adept understanding of hardware and software and how businesses can leverage NXP to deliver better end products
  • Understanding of competitive dynamics and strategies of key industry players, technical and other differentiated capabilities required to win in the marketplace
  • Desire to execute complex system sales
  • Excellent communication, negotiating skills with partners
  • Ability to direct global, cross-functional resources to remove barriers and achieve goals
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and exceptional follow up skills
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers
  • Ability to effectively build trust-based relationships with all levels at customers
