Coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties.,


Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist internal customers with creating requisitions for goods and material.
  • Negotiate favorable price, delivery, terms and shipping with vendors.
  • Perform follow-up on overdue purchase orders and communicate with internal customers when material will arrive.
  • Execute reschedule of material as needed.
  • Work with internal customers to clarify requirements.
  • Work with accounts payable to resolve any invoice disputes.
  • Process all vendor returns in an efficient and timely fashion.
  • Requirements

  • BA in business preferred
  • One to three years purchasing experience.
  • Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing application programs
  • Experience with an MRP planning system helpful
  • Ability to maintain positive work relationships with all work associate
  • Ability to maintain good customer relations.
