The CybersecurityEngineer is a member of Emerson’s Power and Water Solution (PWS) CybersecurityCenter of Excellence (CCE).
This position focuses in the area of cybersecurityand will act as an integral part of a highly technical team focused on developingand delivering cybersecurity services and solutions to our customers.
This role will be expected to become one ofEmerson’s subject matter experts in PWS security products, solutions andcompliance.
The major responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Engineer includeproviding technical support of Emerson PWS cybersecurity solutions to customersand
internal Emerson PWS engineers; as well as,effectively diagnosing and resolving Ovation product related issues, asnecessary.
Therefore, in addition to good interpersonal skills, the engineershould possess excellent technical troubleshooting skills and be familiar withPWS
cybersecurity solutions, process control andbasic power generation concepts.

Work as a team player within the CCE to addresscustomer questions and technical issues.
Maintain or improve customer satisfactionthrough group and individual effort.
Perform base customer support activities asneeded, including phone support, field service
and remote diagnostics, as well as :
Start-up and DCS commissioning at customerlocations
Consulting and assisting customers indevelopment of cybersecurity plans and / or programs
Providing NERC CIP compliance support services
Performing vulnerability assessments oncustomer's control systems
Developing assessment reports and suggestingmitigation / remediation strategies
Implementing recommended mitigation / remediationstrategies
Developing Emerson’s cybersecurity bestpractices and whitepapers related to security
Installation, configuration and tuning ofOvation cybersecurity solutions
Manage and prioritize call records and workload;maintain accurate documentation of all
support by utilizing the SMS database and othertools.
Coordinate technical support processes and callescalation between various support
Interface with Emerson Field Support Engineers,regional offices and expert resources as
needed to resolve issues.
Continually and proactively increase one’stechnical capabilities, growing and establishing
higher levels of expertise.
Maintain product equipment, support labs, andgroup capital equipment.
Help to enhance the value of the CybersecurityCenter of Excellence by contributing
towards additional group activities / tasks,developing new internal / external solutions, and
assisting with training (asappropriate).
The position requires aBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Must have knowledge ofcybersecurity appliances, applications, tools and techniques.
