We are looking for a Production Supervisor to support and ensure the manufacturing lines' success and their employees' success.
This position is responsible for meeting and / or exceeding the weekly output goals, improving processes, and developing employees through training and other opportunities.
This position is evident and requires a leadership style with a regular presence in the areas of responsibility and other departments.
You will be a part of a growing Operations team, as Coloplast is in the process of establishing a world-class manufacturing site in Cartago, Costa Rica.
The ideal candidate is a reliable and competent professional, preferably with experience in the manufacturing and medical device industry.
Initially, you will be supporting the Cartago site, and have a close collaboration with Hungary and Denmark.
You will report to Head of Operations Development Coloplast Costa Rica Volume Manufacturing Site, Cartago.
Tasks & responsibilities
People management responsibilities for the manufacturing floor.
Gather and analyze data and make recommendations on improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Utilize Lean principles for making improvements.
Work with Planner on build plan adherence to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work with supply chain, warehouse, and materials on inventory accuracy.
Partner with other departments on production requirements for project support.
Responsible for PDPs / Reviews for staff.
Partner with engineering and R&D on trouble shooting equipment / processes issues.
Work with finance on identification of adjustments to work order / inventory / improvement opportunities.
Assist Leads and direct reports in analyzing and resolving work problems.
Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment and projects.
Interpret company policies for workers and enforces safety regulations.
Establish or adjust work schedules to meet production requirements.
Responsible for the creation of Job descriptions and Training plans of all direct reports
Responsible to request all necessary accesses and specific roles to Coloplast systems for direct reports
Any additional tasks requested by the direct leader
Other duties as assigned.

Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system
Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position
Implementation of requirements in the corporate quality system
Clearly defining responsibilities and authority for relevant activities described in the quality system.
Ensure awareness of the Quality policy
Ensure awareness of their contribution to the effectiveness of the Quality system and the benefits of improved performance
Ensure awareness of implications for not conforming with Quality requirements
The identification of needs and preparation of instructions, where necessary.
Ensuring that the required resources and competences are available.
Taking action if requirements from the quality system and / or regulatory requirements are not complied with.
Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B.S.)
Minimum three years related experience and / or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least one year of supervisory experience.
Work experience in FDA or regulated industry.
Experience working with inventory management systems.
Experience improving manufacturing operations using Lean and Six Sigma techniques. Certification on Lean or Six Sigma is desirable.
Experience with MES or another system to track and analyze production operations.
General knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience working with inventory management systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
