Position Purpose

As , you will provide subject matter expertise and direction to the organization on development projects and initiatives, to ensure Agile and SCRUM theory, practices, and rules are understood and enacted.

This role will be responsible for Agile ceremonies and processes and be an Agile evangelist. This candidate will have a proven track record of success in Agile product delivery, knowledge of Agile best practices and the ability to provide leadership, oversight, and planning of development activities.

This organized and efficient Agile Coach will work closely with the Product Owner and collaborate with cross functional teams across the organization.

You will have shared responsibilities with overall planning, organization, and execution of technology initiatives within Agile projects.

Principal Accountabilities

30% AGILE EXECUTION AND VALUE REALIZATION

  • Identifies dependencies and removes impediments to Agile team’s progress.
  • Facilitates core Agile ceremonies with two or more teams (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Retrospective and Backlog refinement) or other communicate events required for the orchestration of projects.
  • Facilitates collaborative sessions with internal clients and / or external vendors on complex / large-scale projects to formulate creative and practical solutions to software challenges.
  • Fosters assigned agile teams to self-organization; ensures and supports empowerment of the team.
  • Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Keeps the teams focused on the Sprint and achieving Sprint goals or project goals.
  • Coaches his / her scrum teams and other scrum teams to support Agile adoption and application of principles.
  • 30% BUSINESS PARTNERING AND RELATIONSHIP & SERVICE MANAGEMENT

  • Acts as subject matter expert to Global IT and Cargill Business Services (CBS) to ensure Agile methodologies and systems support the business.
  • While partnering with business partners, interfaces with Global IT and CBS leaders and managers to identify applicable scenarios for Agile implementation.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, peers and leadership members to ensure Agile solutions are implemented successfully.
  • Utilizes substantial knowledge of Agile & solution management practices to understand business / function requirements and analyzes and responds to local design needs.
  • Accountable for acting as partner to ensure infrastructure requirements are implemented.
  • Active participant and member on a team. Creates and maintains key relationships across a diverse, multifaceted global organization.
  • Applies a robust understanding of Agile and procedures to track and monitor resource demand, and works with the deployment team to manage resource issues.
  • With limited oversight, partners with leaders and high-level managers within a limited subset of the organization on valuable options to set up and implement systems for their needs, while ensuring cohesion with the direction of the overall IT systems.
  • Participates in and contributes technical advice to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) negotiation and agreement among key stakeholders.
  • Responsible compiling results of reports for KPI performance, missed targets, trends and causes, and may recommend improvement actions in collaboration with manager and more senior teammates.
  • Applies a substantial understanding of Agile to determine best practices, and recommends how to improve current
  • 20% PROCESS AND SOLUTION MANAGEMENT, ANALYSIS, AND DESIGN

  • Develops a robust knowledge of Global IT and CBS process requirements and provides complex business model design services for development within Agile.
  • With limited oversight, tracks and creates reports on deployment issues and interdependencies for complex solutions and Agile applications.
  • With limited oversight, monitors and tracks issues with standardized Agile reports based on understanding commonalities / trends in client reporting needs.
  • Manages internal and external communication, improves transparency, and communicates information throughout the organization.
  • Recognizes risks, and designs controls to mitigate and / or eliminate risks.
  • Acts as Agile expert to the IT development group and CBS for the development and implementation of new systems
  • 10% PROCESS AND SOLUTION LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE :

  • Lead Agile governance model design and implementation.
  • Leads two or more Agile teams facilitating progress toward delivery goals using Agile practices and other delivery methodologies and coordinates with other non-agile teams involved in the effort.
  • 10% PEOPLE AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT

  • Provides coaching and / or training to more junior members of the Global IT and CBS, including coaching Cargill core values.
  • May participate in selection of employees and provide input on plans for future workforce needs.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Required Qualifications

  • University degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years successfully working as Agile Coach / Scrum Master with hands on experience DevOps, Kanban, SAFe or Nexus.
  • Thorough understanding of multiple System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies with an emphasis on Agile
  • Demonstrates experience on : Managing product and sprint backlogs, and executing effectively and efficiently using Agile techniques such as Scrum or KanbanWorking as Scrum Coaching of assigned scrum teamsManaging multiple teams simultaneously, including onsite and remote team membersCollaborating with regional teams to align business requirements and deliver solutions that meet business goalsStrong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.
  • g. senior management, peers and colleagues)Proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches

  • Interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions / presentations.
  • Advanced English level
  • Excellent verbal, written and technical communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Scrum Master Certifications from a recognized provider
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of other delivery approaches : XP, Crystal, Feature Driven Development / Test Drive Development, water fall, iterative, incremental, etc.
  • Experience with Business Transformational Program Management
  • Experience on Agile implementation on Operational teams.
  • Certificated as Scrum Master in scrum.org PSMII or equivalent certification.
