Contract Administrator Analyst II

Description

Perform specific order entry review functions whichdefine the commercial and technical aspects of the proposal and customer ordersbeing entered.

Responsibilities

  • Insure that commercial and contractual requirements ofcustomer purchase orders are met in order that financial risk and penalty arereduced / eliminated and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Maximize margin improvement opportunities throughscope change activity throughout the project life.
  • Support the financial forecast by project managers toinsure accuracy of sales forecasts.
  • Reduce receivables through problem identification andresolution planning.
  • Interface with division support groups (i.e. ProductSupport, Training, Accounting, ICOM, Shipping, Operations, Renewal Parts,Sales, Order Entry, etc.

    • to ensure that all Emerson commitments to customersare met.

  • Monitor all assigned project activities and adviseproject manager of any issues which may affect schedule or billings.
  • Respond to routine work requests from projectmanagement organization.
  • Provide regular and special reports as directed bycontracts manager : i.e., COR, Suspense, C / N Booked, C / N Quoted, MarginImprovement, Project Progress Payments.
  • Be generally aware of the project responsibilities ofother contracts administrators and act as backup to them in their absence.

    • Bethe responsible to create and promote a united group that is focused on qualityresults, process efficiency, and excellence.

    Requirements

    B.S. in a technical orbusiness field.

    Working knowledge of Project and Financial Managementprinciples

    Three years of experience in Business or ProjectManagement, Engineering, and / or Contract Administration (may be combined total)(or equivalent).

    Advanced English.

    Experienceinterpreting contracts and payment terms.
