Finance Project Manager

What We Need

Kareo is seeking a Finance Project Manager who will be responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control.

The Finance Project Manager will conduct technical analyses to determine present and future financial performance. Finally, they will perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, cash flow needs, and impact of governmental requirements.

Your Area of Focus

  • Perform financial analysis on balance sheet, cash flow, operating results and scenario business plans to determine rates of return, capital / cash flow requirements, and key business drivers
  • Prepare scenario forecasts and analysis on business, industry and general economic trends
  • Provide accurate and timely reports for performance monitoring
  • Prepare budget to actual cost analysis and profitability analysis
  • Support the development and maintenance of the company’s financial models and analysis to support the operating and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare and analyze key metrics, performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing cause of unexpected variances
  • Assist with development of budgets, comparison to actual results, defining actions for cost alignment, KPI reporting, and communication to business leaders
  • Build out a business intelligence warehouse and business intelligence dashboards
  • Generate quarterly, monthly and weekly financial reporting
  • Review the work of junior Financial Analysts and provide coaching as needed
  • Assist with preparation of presentations to Executive Leaders, Board of Directors and Senior Management
  • Your Professional Qualifications

  • 7-10 years minimum experience in finance positions with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Proven track record as the Finance Manager of a successful B2B SaaS / Cloud software business
  • Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, cost control principles including GAAP, and three statement financial modeling
  • Proficiency with automated financial and accounting records
  • Strong system aptitude and experience in Netsuite, Salesforce, and Adaptive preferable
  • Expert level skills in MS Excel required
  • Expert level skills in Tableau
  • Seasoned professional and independent thinker with experience leading small teams and coaching analysts
  • Proven ability to think creatively and drive innovation in the market and within our company
  • Demonstrated success in leading process improvement initiatives
  • Zero tolerance for inaccuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple high priority projects simultaneously
  • Experience with high complexity (ideally multi-product lines) financial models and large-scale growth from $50M to $250M+
  • Experience with high-transaction, recurring revenue business models (ideally targeting SMB businesses)
  • Strong familiarity with software revenue recognition, GAAP financial statements, SaaS metrics, and software best practices
  • Proven experience driving successful, value-creating fundraising and M&A transactions
  • Presence to command credibility and influence functional partners
  • Healthcare experience is preferred but not required
