This position is part of the Prophecy team that provides patient-specific devices to those with complex clinical cases. These are provided under the prescription of the overseeing physician in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations for single patient use.
The Senior Product Development Technician (PDT) is responsible to create custom 3D bone models from the scans provided for the scanning facility or sales representative.
The Senior PDT is also responsible of tracking cases, support scan control.
The individual is also responsible for reviewing scans information and activities conducted by other technicians and must maintain professional working relationships with all individuals within Stryker, who are involved with product research, design, development, and commercialization.
Additionally, must support the supervision of a group of employees in the designated area serving as a Subject Matter Expert.
The Senior PDT supports achievement of production goals.

What you will do
Review and process CT Scan data and convert those files into 3D bone models used to develop patient specific instrumentation
Preparation of surgical planning guides
Read and work from various clinical imaging including x-rays and CT scans.
Creation of prints and STL parts from CAD models supplied by the PROPHECY™ engineering department
Where required, dimension all drawings correctly, apply geometrical tolerancing, finishing and etching details, and carry out tolerance stack calculations.
Ensure standard templates used for design are current and updated in a timely fashion.
Track status of each case using internal software.
Review patient data processed by coworkers.
Supports quality and process improvement projects to increase performance and productivity under a mentor s supervision.
Participate and collaborate with cross functional teams.
Assist supervision of team s performance and work done.
Business Responsibilities :
The PDT supports achievement of production goals.
Provide support to the engineering team and management when necessary.
Understand the product’s intended use and clinical procedures.
Any other tasks that sits outside your current role from time to time to support the activities of the business.
Monitor production performance and quality metrics in the designated area
Med Device Compliance :
Mentor others as a business unit expert on the usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulations.
Lead others to create and refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History file and create more progressive technical content.
Contribute to R&D procedures and development of industry standards working closely with cross-functional business units.
General Responsibilities :
Review activities performed by APDT and other PDT
Learn procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required.
Work on problems in limited scope; purposefully learn while gaining experience.
Demonstrate ownership and integrity of work.
Build stable relationships.
Contribute to the project as a team member and / or team leader under a mentor’s supervision
Coordination with manufacturing, operations, and scheduling to meet the needs of the PROPHECY® navigation cases schedule.
What you need
2+ years of Mechanical or BioMechanical degree. Other degrees are considered with demonstration of other basic skills.
Technical drawing degree preferred, other technical degrees considered with demonstration of other basic skills.
2+ years of experience is required (related experience within the medical device industry is strongly preferred)
Prior experience with orthopedic / mechanical products and software like Mimics, 3Matic, Magics and Excel.
Recognize radiology basics concepts.
English level will be assessed
CAD Software proficiency.
Excellent PC skills (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project).
