The Staff Test Technician will work closely with the Product and Test Engineering (PTE) team to support product characterization, validation, and equipment maintenance.
The successful candidate will support equipment and setup troubleshooting, execute complex detailed test procedures with input from engineers.
This is a hands-on position involving operating automated and semi-automated equipment, components testing, parts handling, and equipment calibration.
This role will cover different shifts and weekend work on occasion.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Setup and test devices according to Engineer’s instructions through TIS (Test Instruction Sheet).
Support remote access request (test setup, changing of device, testing and collecting results) through phone, emails, and online system.
Compile engineering and operational reports.
Install of instruments (modules) and fixtures on benches to perform testing.
Coordinate a small technician team to perform duties and proper shift change pass down.
Perform / coordinate PM (preventive maintenance), calibration and repair of Test Floor equipment ATE (automatic test equipment) and peripherals.
Benches instruments setup as needed (ordering or setup).
Support initial equipment setup, recipe creation and kit qualification.
Track and control Engineering parts used in testing and do regular inventory to ensure parts are not missing in database
Upkeep all labs for ATE (automatic test equipment) and Benches.
Work within a group and with cross functional groups with good operational flexibility.
Various logistic tasks
Preferred Qualifications :
5+ year experience in semiconductor test or assembling and handling is required.
Demonstrated ability to drive new initiatives and track and manages issues to closure
Experience in effective communication, teamwork, collaboration, and relationship management
Able to work with common test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, power meters etc)
Experience on Teradyne tester platform preferred.
Experience with Handler, TCU and prober is preferred.
Soldering skills is preferred.
Education Requirements :
A.S. or higher degree in electronics or related field, certificate or equivalent experience
