In this role, you have the opportunity to make life better
We are looking for a Global Manufacturing Engineering Architect focusing on the delivery model Devices, based in Americas region.
Together with the Clusterleads of GME you are designing, optimizing and maintaining the core processes within Global Management Engineering with a focus towards NPI’s in the delivery model Devices.
You participate in the roll out of the core processes and ensure that these processes are interlinked and connected to the Clusterleads and Technology Teams
You create an insight into the relationship between technical processes, organization and costs and therefore you are playing a key role in advising the management of Global Manufacturing Engineering for global projects, best practices, meaningful Capex analyses and advice in financial decision making.
You are responsible for
oDefine Manufacturing Technology Roadmap for the relevant product clusters in cooperation with GME cluster leads and Technology Teams with focus on multi-product and multi-site use of technical solutions
oWork with both Business PIE and Factory PIE teams to identify and implement manufacturing requirements in NPI’s, consolidate in design / process / equipment rule books
oCoordinate the roll out of the Manufacturing Concept Process focused on PD & IGT, including training, to ensure early involvement of Manufacturing in AD / PDLM, to drive manufacturing requirements with a strong focus on VSM and (financial) evaluation
oOwner in planning DfMAT sessions in PDLM projects for the relevant clusters in the factories, take care of staffing the DfMAT’s with facilitators, in consultation with DfMAT BPE.
oReview and Audit architecture work in the PDLM projects on a regular basis and define improvements
oMaintain and improve the architecture framework process / procedures with stakeholders
oMaintain competence tool for architecture competence, maintain and improve the tools and training documentation with stakeholders
oSetup, plan and perform architecture ompetence training program for sites and engineering teams for the relevant clusters.
oContribute in the Manufacturing Sites Core-Non Core assessment with the C-NC process owner.
oParticipate in the CAPEX-process for the relevant clusters to challenge and optimize investments and improve the accuracy of the forecast.
oLeads to drive best practice methods & processes as well as platforms
oGives guidance to relevant stakeholders to co- develop, innovate and improve O2F tools and processes for long term optimizing.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
MS degree in Engineering or Manufacturing / Industrial Fields
10+ years experience in medical device design, manufacturing, automation, equipment specification and development
Fundamental understanding of medical device products manufactured by Philips
Class 2, 3 medical device manufacturing experience
Manufacturing process, tooling & equipment design
Product-, Process-, and Production System Architecture
System requirement and specification development
Product Innovation & Lifecycle Management Fundamentals
DfSS & DfMA(A)T practioner or master
Value Chain Analysis, Data Analytics
Operational Excellence & Lean tools
Demonstrated Problem Solving Techniques
