Responsible of leading a team to ensures platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components.
The team is accountable for all structural design & optimization flows ranging from floorplanning, synthesis, place and route and parallel verification flows such as Static Timing Analysis, Formal Verification, Layout Verification, etc.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development / implementation and execution of a variety of flows on a given design block for graphics projects.
The responsibilities may also include coming up with new methodologies / implementing them and validating them to tackle new challenges presented by the new processes.
The candidate will also be required to work closely with the rest of the project team members to resolve issues which arise during the design cycle.
Finally, the candidate will give feedback of key learnings into the next chip cycle.
You will also be required to manage a small team of engineers. As part of the management responsibilities, the candidate will need to provide guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity.
Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering and 3+ years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience.
Relevant coursework / experience should be in Logic / VLSI / ASIC Design / Architecture or related areas.
Knowledge in floorplanning, synthesis, place and route, layout verification, static timing analysis, formal / layout verification flows / processes and experience with UNIX, Perl, TCL and HDL (Verilog, S-
Verilog) are an added advantage. Hands-on experience with any of the industry tools in these areas will be a big plus.
Working experience of leading a team as technical lead or as a manager is also required.
Experience in Agile methodologies will also be considered as an advantage.
