The Windows specialist (infrastructure developer) performs Windows server 2nd and 3rd level support duties, including capacity planning, performance checking, advanced troubleshooting and resolution of issues escalated from other IT support teams, always following ITIL best practices and strict quality guidelines.
In the role, the Windows specialist (Infrastructure developer) will work as a member of a group of other Windows administrators providing support to Roche Main Datacenters around the globe :
Kaiseraugst / Münchenstein, Switzerland
Mannheim / Penzberg, Germany
San Francisco / Indianapolis, US
Sao Paulo, Brazil
Shanghai / Singapore, China
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
02nd and 03rd level support for the different Windows server versions (from Windows 2003 to Windows 2016) including failover cluster configurations
Operation of SCCM for SW and patches deployment
Continuous automation of tasks (using Microsoft traditional scripting technologies as well as infrastructure development tools such as Ansible, Jenkins and Puppet)
Advanced troubleshooting of problems related to operating system & hardware with potential escalations to external vendors
Capacity and performance monitoring of the infrastructure
Participation in internal projects (internal and external)
Follow, define & optimize procedures.
Coordination and execution of activities, sometimes required during weekends or out office hours
OnCall service in a rotational basis
