Job Purpose :
ICG KYC BSU function within the ISG utility of ICG O&T. Responsible for the approval process of the KYC Record within Citi’s KYC risk management program
The unit is responsible for ensuring compliance with both local regulatory requirements and Citigroup standards for Anti-
Money Laundering (AML).
Job Background / context :
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Case Managers ensuring oversight over their daily functions and daily checking and feedback on the quality of Case Manager completions.
The candidate will assist the NAM Operations Manager in the leadership function within the department.
Support the Operations Manager in leading a team of circa 25 people processing new client requests from ICG customers, who require KYC records to be completed.
Provide a point of contact for escalation cases as assigned by the Operations Manager and be a visible and active partner with internal business clients requiring attention to their population of new client requests.
Track and review aging of inventory of records, leveraging available MI to take actions to address delays or peaks and troughs in volumes.
Support senior case managers in population management.
Add additional focus to quality reviews ensuring all quality feedback is used, communicated and actions taken to reduce rework.
Partner with ICG business and industry leads ensuring a sense of urgency to deliver operational goal relating to KYC record processing.
Point of escalation for Team being responsible for operational results
Manage relationships with Relationship Management teams and Compliance for North America.
Work with Operations Manager on goal setting, performance management planning / implementation and one to ones
Assist relationship and coverage teams globally in completion of the KYC Record
Perform the checking procedure and ensure quality and coaching needs are identified and met on the team
Communicate and coordinate with senior management of ICG EMEA from coverage, compliance, implementations, risk, and operations in various products
Assist with Process Design and management for department.
Oversight for Adherence with Citi and regulatory policies and procedures as well as housekeeping standards, team controls & processes
Management of ad-hoc departmental projects as assigned
Maintain a workforce with capability to execute flawlessly
Work with Operations Manager to develop team members in line with versatility matrix & team needs.

Knowledge / Experience :
2-5 years’ experience in banking or finance
2-5 years people management experience
Experience in control / risk or Compliance (AML / KYC) function (an advantage)
Knowledge and experience of the technologies and processes used in Citi
Knowledge of AML policies and regulatory requirements an advantage
Considerable experience of dealing with senior management in a multi-function environment
