ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
GBS is seeking a Canada Payroll Analyst to join our Team within the Human Resources organization. This role will partner extensively with internal and external stakeholders and the goal is to ensure the correct processing of the payroll.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, an effective communicator, problem solver, have a desire to participate in change, and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Also, as part of this team, the contributor will be provide technical expertise through the processing of payroll data for nominated area in accordance with BAT policies and guidelines (may include multi-country local payrolls and international assignee payrolls).
Reports to : Payroll Specialist
Reporting Level : No direct reports
Geographic Scope : Canada
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Ability to reconcile pre-processing reports to ensure accuracy of information before processing payroll.
Research discrepancies in payroll information and documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures before processing.
Maintains payroll information, files, and records to provide up-to-date references and audit trail for compliance.
Analyze payroll-related information to ensure accurate distribution of funds and payroll.
Knowledge of Canadian forms TD1, PD1, ROE, PDOC. Year-end forms - T4, RL1, T2200
Knowledge of Canadian processing Payroll
Keep constant communication and controls with Finance to enable them the completion of reconciliations by the end of the period.
Identifies opportunity areas in the process that can add value to the operation.
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
Do you have at least two years of experience in payroll processing?
Do you have good command of English?
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
With at least two years of experience in payroll processing (desirable experience in Canada or USA Payroll).
HR Shared Services experience.
Propose new ideas and constantly innovate in the current role.
Understand responsibility and capable of making decisions.
Communicate with peers, managers, and stakeholders effectively.
MS Office Medium / advanced level.
English at least B2.
Bachelor’s Degree (or currently studying) in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related fields.
Success Factors, Cherwell and Service Now knowledge.
Medium / advanced knowledge in the Day Force technology platform.
