Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

1. People Manager

  • Handle a team of Business Analysts and Business Intelligence Engineers.
  • Set the vision and culture of the team by handling individual and team performance, expectations and goals.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to with Amazon’s policies and procedures; additional responsibilities include interviewing, training and motivating employees.
  • Plan and assign work, reward and review employees, and effective conflict resolution.
  • Handle the career growth and development of the team.
  • 2. Business Intelligence Engineer

  • Work closely with business managers and stakeholders to understand business issues and recommend solutions to ensure business questions are properly answered.
  • Understand trends related to Amazon business and recommend strategies to stakeholders to help drive business growth. Reporting of key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines.
  • Respond with urgency to high priority requests from senior business leaders.

  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape the direction of the business.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
  • Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.

  • Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Interviews will be conducted in English. Being proficient is a mandatory requirement for this position.

  • University bachelor's degree concluded in any field.
  • 2+ years of experience as Team Manager / Lead / Supervisor in corporate environments.
  • 2+ years of business intelligence or business analytics experience.
  • Proficiency with data querying or modeling technique with SQL or R.
  • Experience in internal / external stakeholder and customer management.
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1 level).

  • Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining, financial analysis, dynamic pricing, demand modeling, game theory and customer / product segmentation.
  • Experience working with cloud data repository services such as AWS redshift.
  • Experience and ability to effectively gather information from multiple data sources.
  • Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with e-commerce, retail or marketing analytics would be an advantage.
  • Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on issues.
