Under general direction, the Order Manager II will log and enter orders into our business systems. Also responsible for reviewing the customer’s purchase order, ensuring all critical information is complete and accurate.

Assist internal and external customers with activities related to order processing and fulfillment. Work on standard and non-standard complexity related to products & processes.

For assigned customers, accounts and sales territories, own the process to fulfill an order from the time of receiving a customer purchase order, to the time that the Business Unit receives full payment from them.

Responsibilities

  • Order Entry, Booking, and Management :
  • o Receive and review customer purchase orders. Using the Global Clean Order Standards, check that all information supplied by the customer is correct and complete to ensure the customer receives the product they need and at the time they need it.

    o Upload and book order in Emerson business systems

    o Assist with correction of order entry errors and post booking issues

    o Contact customer for information required to book orders. Initiate proactive communication with customers to resolve purchase order issues or to collect missing information at the order entry stage.

    o As required, coordinate with the other department / groups, personnel and technical subject matter experts to have them review and validate the technical requirements of the customer’s purchase order.

    o Maintain updated customer information in Emerson business systems and other databases. Collect and save needed documentation to ensure compliance with Emerson's record retention and documentation procedures.

    o Mailbox Management for Emerson Regional & Account Assignments. For assigned accounts and sales territories, function as the primary contact and coordinator between the customer and factories to resolve issues.

    o Monitor the progress of sales orders and initiate ongoing, proactive communication with each customer. Function as the main point of contact for any order revisions or other issues that arise that may impact Emerson's ability to meet our commitment for delivery to the customer.

    o Ensure that each customer receives proactive notification of order status at designated key points of the order entry and fulfillment process.

    i.e. Receipt of PO, Sales Order Acknowledgement and Shipping Acknowledgement)

    o Maintain proactive and ongoing communication with each field salesperson and other company representatives regarding orders placed by their customers.

    Maintain ownership and coordinate resolution of any issues that may arise. (i.e. change orders, shipping delays, billing disputes and other issues)

    o Proactively notify customers of any delays that may impact the factories’ ability to meet our shipment commitment and discuss potential solutions.

    o Process Return Material Authorization for Emerson Products and ensures that the customer will be sent with Return Instructions & Paperwork.

  • Process, Systems & Tools :
  • o Maintain proficiency and utilize all of Emerson’s business systems required to enter and manage orders.

    o Maintain accurate records of all activities related to orders from receipt of the PO to shipment of the products and documentation requested.

    Understand and implement all aspects of the Emerson’s document retention procedures.

    o Understand and consistently apply Emerson's commercial policies and business practices related to order entry

    o Ensure compliance with import / export, contract and government requirements. Screen orders for compliance with the Emerson Terms and Conditions, Agreements and standards.

  • Job Knowledge & Teamwork :
  • o Back up of other Order Manager II / Order Management depending on the business needs

    o Work on standard and non-standard complexity related to products & processes

    o Understand basics of Emerson products, model numbers and price list. Understand general customer needs for each buying influence and the main industries served by Emerson.

    o Participate in training activities related to products & processes

    o Understand basic Emerson differentiation strategy and Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) tools.

    o Coordinate within assigned team, other teams, and with subject matter experts regarding workflow to maintain targeted customer service levels related to both order management and overall support of our customers.

    o Perform other duties as required.

    Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or any other related fields.
  • Experience : 3 to 4 Years of Customer service, data entry experience, or other related experience.
  • Experience as a member of a fast paced, customer-centric company where there was a spirit of teamwork between peers, a direct sales force and representative selling organizations, required.
  • Work experience associated with selling or supporting a technical product where there was a business to business relationship, required.
  • Solid keyboard skills and a strong proficiency for using Windows & MS Office applications is a must.
  • English Proficiency (Written & Oral) Level, minimum must be B-2 (Upper Intermediate).
  • Must be willing to work on North America shift schedules.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience : 4 to 5 Years of Customer service, Sales experience or other related experience.
  • Work experience associated with selling or supporting a technical product where there was a business to business relationship, preferred.
  • 0 to 1 Year of Project Management experience
  • Solid prioritizing and organizational skills along with being a self-starter.
  • Must be able to work well in a close team setting.
  • Aptitude for technical topics is a plus.
