This position offers a tremendous opportunity to the candidate who is passionate about skills management to drive the capability, capacity and effectiveness of the delivery organization to meet its organizational objectives as well as the development of the workforce, and their readiness to support our customers.
The role’s main objective is to present a clear view of resource capacity, skills capability to enable consistent and effective resource project placements for the delivery organizations across the different regions.
In parallel, identify best skill systems and tools for ease of capturing, analyzing and disseminating of skills data. This involves operating at various levels within the business, to understand the objectives, translate those objectives into business requirements and feed those requirements back into the relevant skill systems and tools.
In addition, this role ensures that appropriate interlocks exist between the business and other functions within HPE such as the Services Portfolio organization, the Learning & Content Development organization and the Remote Delivery Organization.
Responsibilities : Business
Establishes strong relationships with the Account Services Global Segment Leads, to understand the regional operational models with specific focus on Workforce Management Brokers.
Creates links with the Learning & Content Development organization to bridge skill requirements to the learning curriculum as well as ensuring the flow of learning skills to the skills taxonomy, system, and tools.
Works with Portfolio Services to understand new services goals / direction, to identify early, new service skill requirements for the organization and build these into the skills taxonomy, system, and tools.
Builds relationships with delivery managers across the various geographies as a valued partner in the business to identify skill requirements and local capabilities / capacities as well as capture current project resource allocations and performance to utilize in future sourcing decisions.
Builds relationships with delivery managers of newly integrated groups in the organization, to identify their skill requirements and best approach to integrate their resources into skills taxonomy and inventory.
Understands the market trends and direction for skill systems and tools and can translate these, where appropriate, into actions, maintaining our own systems competitive edge and effectiveness.
Maintains a good relationship and works with the IT organization to ensure the smooth running of the skills system and tools, enable updates, and obtain support for global and local skills initiatives, system reports, and employee access.

Provides Data Analysis tools including associated reports to facilitate the clear understanding of skill capabilities, skill gaps and trends.
Implements current project resource allocation learning based on skills and availability.
Ability to link skills with portfolio - market offerings and services.
Provides additional reports during specific skills initiatives (Global skills assessment, monthly updates, taxonomy reviews, non-compliance, etc.).
Education and Experience Required :
University degree or equivalent experience
4-6 years in a similar role in workforce management
Skills management systems experience
2-4 years demonstrated presentation, facilitation, and technical consulting experience
PMP certification a plus
Knowledge and Skills :
Strong planning, communication, change management, and cultural awareness skills, including financial and global business acumen
Ability to quickly understand new, complex technology and concepts
Good inter-personal skills to drive cross functional teams across multiple geographies to successful outcomes
Good analytical thinking, problem-solving, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Excellent data manipulation skills in Excel, Access or SQL. Power BI / SharePoint knowledge a plus
General understanding of the services portfolio and processes
Familiarity with market focus areas and skill requirements
Familiarity with learning content and training solutions
