Provide technical training to production sewers in a training room environment or on the production floor to ensure capability and compliance to all required sewing operations and quality measures.
Key Responsibilities :
Train and provide feedback to line leads and assemblers on sewing procedures and techniques in alignment with SOPs and perform verifications of work in sequential sewing steps.
Use tools and assets to perform assigned steps in training the assembly of assigned product(s).
Partner with Quality and Production personnel to align on product defect determinations and to transfer those lessons learned in to training improvements
Monitor line assemblers’ adherence to procedures.
Fill out required documentation detailing training progress, training completion, and performance measures of the students.
On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period
Other incidental duties : (e.g. occasional photo copying or deliveries)
Education and Experience :
H.S. Diploma or equivalent Required
Other : 0-1 Year experience sewing experience, GMP, clean room, medical device experience, required; assessing processes with respect to DFM Lean and DFT principles Preferred
Additional Skills :
Basic computer skills required
Good hand eye coordination, required
Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak Spanish required
Problem solving methodology, root cause analysis, Quality System Fundamentals, and good documentation practices, preferred
Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Ability to use specialized tooling, hand eye coordination, and high manual dexterity
Successful completion of ongoing job training of assembly process steps
Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing
Strict attention to detail
Able to work with medium amount of supervision
Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence / control
