The Experience Platform team has an immediate opening for a Business Data Analyst on the Product Data & Governance Team.

The Product Data & Governance team plays a crucial roll in maintaining NI’s enterprise product data and supporting Product Master Data Management (PMDM).

PMDM is a comprehensive method to link all critical product data to one master source, in order to provide a single source of truth for product and services data across the enterprise.

The Product Data & Governance team strives to maintain accurate and robust product data to be consumed by downstream customers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is an innovative self-starter with strong technical and analytical skills, who has the ability to drive results and manage their own projects.

They must be able to collaborate with other teams, and drive results. The candidate in this position will assist the organization in meeting stated business goals and objectives by performing the following responsibilities :

Establish, govern, and enforce data standards for enterprise product data

Understand NI product portfolio and technology at a high level

Research and drive decisions on technical attribute creation based on enterprise needs

Understands impact of data requests (new or modified fields) and provide cross-functional product data consulting

Understand priorities to balance run-the-business and project related tasks

Performs data analysis, data gathering and data entry

Accountable for monitoring and maintaining data quality within set bounds

Perform advanced data configuration

Ensure continuous improvement in quality of data and deliverables

Plan and manage projects related to process improvements

Clearly communicate project status and results

Compose effective cross-team and inter-departmental communications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable and promote enterprise adoption of PMDM Platform

Requirements :

Minimum 3-5 years of related industry experience

Bachelor Degree required

BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred

Experience working with large taxonomies or product catalog is preferred

Experience writing SQL to query data

Strong eye for detail and precision

Ability to understand technical data and comfortable working with technical teams

Self-Starter, high-level of ownership, proactive nature, problem-solving skills

Solution driven - strong analytical skills to identify, analyze and solve problems given ambiguous information

Strong personal organizational and project planning skills

Proven ability to foster new ideas, cultivate concepts, and guide concept development

Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks for several projects simultaneously, often on short timelines

Teamwork skills essential

Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
