What is the Career opportunity we have

At the Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Enterprise Command Center we operate multiple services and technologies and are currently seeking a talented manager to lead our Mainframe platform.

The Mainframe Platform Lead is a key part of the CTI Enterprise Center management Team. As the Mainframe lead you will own a process driven technology operations function providing Service Monitoring, Level-1 Infrastructure Support, and Change Implementation.

This is all done from our state of the art regional Command Center in partnership with the Platform Leads for other services and in collaboration with our other Operations centers.

This role will have a direct reporting line into the global platform head to foster collaboration and consistency.

This position gives a great deal of latitude to self determine organizational and career direction. Being a Technology leadership role it is expected that you will demonstrate competency in the technical discipline and have an operational aptitude to drive process execution and improvement.

FUNCTIONAL ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES :

In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of the L1-L2 Mainframe team and function within the regional facility.

Responsibilities Include : people management (30+), operational oversight, project management, and process creation / enhancement.

We will work together with other functions to ensure proper execution of processes. This includes direct engagement in incidents and acting as the service owner.

You will have the opportunity to learn about risk and governance in support of audit reviews as well as certifications like ISO 20001 and 9001.

Key to your success will be the acquisition and development of other talented people. We view this as the first priority for our leaders.

  • Strong dedication towards continual growth and self-improvement including year-over-year progression in industry certifications and overall technical proficiencies and knowledge base.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written and social skills.
  • EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL PREFERENCES :

  • Associates or bachelors degree
  • Good clear communication in English (verbal and written). Spanish a plus. This role will interact with IT management and highly technical engineers.
  • 5+ years of leading teams of technologists preferably in a comparable technology or financial organization on the IBM Z platform-Mainframe for complex configurations and operations
  • 5+ years’ experience in large complex Parallel Sysplex
  • Systems Programming is helpful
