MSD’s Business Service

Center (BSC), located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are

responsible for the

timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes. The

BSC Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution

and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across MSD

business divisions and markets for the Americas region.

The Order Management Supervisor will be responsible for optimization of

the OTC and OM processes. This role is accountable for ensuring consistency in process

scope and documentation, global process metrics, control framework and

identifying continuous improvement opportunities within all sub-processes.

This individual must have a regional mindset, display attention to

detail, strong business acumen and effective communication, process and change

management skills. The individual must also have operational experience and

deep knowledge of the Order to Cash process and SAP system functionality.

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the

following :
  • Designs,
  • Designs,
  • develops, documents, and manages Order Management process procedures,

    including roles and responsibilities

  • Works
  • collaboratively with the Business Service Center OtC Leadership to

    understand variations in process, identify opportunities for continuous

    improvement and informing the broader OtC prioritization roadmap.

  • Governs
  • adherence to standard methods and monitors implementation of standard

    requirements and OtC process performance, in alignment with the MSD Audit

  • Create
  • detailed requirement specifications based on requested enhancements to

    existing or development of new functionality related to the OtC

  • Work
  • closely with key business and technical stakeholders to enhance current

    solutions and develop new ones.

  • Provide
  • input into and oversight of project definition and solution design for

    requested new features and operational enhancements for internal

  • Support
  • the Manager and Associate Director, OtC Regional Process Steward in the

    design, analysis and estimation of business driven projects within the

    framework of the Order Management global design

  • Facilitate
  • the gathering of requirements, prioritization and execution of OtC related

  • Provide
  • ongoing consultation to delivery resources on best practices as

  • Facilitate
  • regular benchmarking efforts across industry peer groups to gauge

    effectiveness of MSD’s OtC practice

  • Identifies,
  • develops, and implements OtC process improvement initiatives to quality,

    flexibility and simplicity of processes.

  • Informs
  • the strategy and prioritization for use of automation to achieve process

  • Leads
  • the implementation of new processes and continuous improvement activities

  • Advise
  • on the deployment of SAP COMET and ATLAS ERP systems

  • Monitors
  • operational processes metrics to ensure quality, sustainment and

    consistent execution

  • Advises / supports
  • MCAAS and Business Service Centers on OtC Control related queries

  • Supports
  • process training delivery and content development


    Required Experience and Skills :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, Process, Project and Operational roles.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Order Management functions
  • Experience in SAP environments, process management, automation and process governance
  • Demonstrated experience developing standard processes and deploying them across a regional enterprise
  • Experience supporting, LATAM, USA and Canada (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems and identify’ appropriate operational or process solutions
  • Demonstration of excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce
  • Experience and deep understanding of MSD’s OtC Control Framework
  • Demonstrated OtC experience working across multiple markets or regions
