The Marketing Engineering and Operations team sits within the Growth Marketing and Insights (GMI) organization and is responsible for the data architecture, transformation, and engineering needs of the entire organization.
This includes managing backend data for various marketing measurement tools and processes, including attribution, mix modeling, lifetime value, and more.
This role will support the marketing mix modeling and demand creation teams, which use statistical models to guide multi-million dollarinvestment decisions at the c-suite level.
The business relies on these models to ensure revenue growth expectations are met each quarter and fiscal year on Adobe’s $10 billion book of business in Digital Media.
We are looking for an Engineering Lead who will be responsible for managing the data that makes the team's work possible.
You’ll work with business analysts and data scientists to scope requirements for new models, build data pipelines, optimize ETL processes, ensure data integrity, and find opportunities to add efficiency and automation to everyday tasks.
You’ll own the data platform that powers Adobe’s marketing mix models as well as other marketing measurement and reporting tools used at every level of the company.
What you’ll do
Serve as the lead engineer for the team andmanagethe next evolution of the data managementplatform
Lead the effort to restructure the database to better meet the needs of data scientists and business analysts across theorganization
Scope requirements, connect data sources, and build ETL processes to support new products and routes to market as the team expands mix modeling coverage across Adobe’s B2C and B2B businessunits
Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Sales teams to maintain data integrity and perform root cause analysis when discrepancies arise in thedata
Identify ways to automate data collection tasks and build QC checks into ETL and stack generationprocesses
What you’ll need to succeed
BS / MS in Computer Science with 7+ years of data engineering experience
ETL or Pipeline design / implementation with Large Distributed Databases (Hive / Spark / Scala preferred)
Experience with Spark
Love to use and develop open-source technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Presto, and Spark
Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, HDFS, and Big Data technologies
Extensive knowledge of Linux Administration and Engineering (Ubuntu & Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
A sophisticated background with a high-level scripting language, Pythonpreferred.
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
Sound knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting
Experience and passion around data-driven development
Excellent written and verbal communication skill
