This position will be responsible of performing steady state Maintenance activities on Finance Master Data objects helping to ensure service levels are met while adhering to relevant data standards.
The Sr. Finance Master Data Analyst position will be a steady state maintenance specialist of all finance master data areas Chart of accounts, organization hierarchy and will cover master data used in the corporate systems as well as the ERP GL systems (ex SAP or JDE).
This position should be knowledgeable and skilled in both the core business processes as well as systems used related to object setup / maintenance.
This position will work across Finance to ensure we are enabling Cargill’s goal in realizing value through treating data as a corporate asset.
Principal Accountabilities
30%Process Compliance, planning and execution
Partner with other functions to ensure hand-offs between teams within the end-to-end process are clearly known and processes are running smoothly.
Ability to work across several ERP’s and Language’s.
Executes expert Maintenance activities on Finance Master Data objects in ERP systems, in compliance with pre-defined data standards.
Oversee output of master data request processors, ensuring that the maintenance of data is done in compliance with pre-defined data standards.
Audit processor’s completed requests, addressing issues or exceptions and following up to ensure corrections are made.
Comply with all the Master data policies from each domain; ensuring documentation of internal processes, procedures and tools are maintained accurately.
Provide feedback and metrics in order to hold Internal / 3rd party teams accountable for their scope of work.
Partners with other key players within MDM such as Operations Supervisors, Process Leads and Project Integration Leads.
May supervise, mentor, and / or train more junior staff and serve as a team lead.
Be the single point of contact for audits & Control Risk Owners (CRO) responsibilities. Works with auditors during the walkthrough, helping them with all the audits requirements such as samples, documentations, etc.
Provides comprehensive insight to supervisors and individuals regarding the interpretation and delivery of policies, programs and processes.
30%Data management, Research & Analysis, Systems and Reporting
Ability to take complex scenarios and issues and resolve them.
Create and update training documents, procedures and reports, as needed.
Data analysis of submitted requests by the business.
Monitor RPA / IA for the processes that have been automated.
Monthly metrics reporting to Supervisor to ensure accuracy / productivity and service level agreement are being met
Monitor overall health of Master data across all different systems. Identify data quality issues, perform analysis and lead the cleansing efforts.
Accountable for processes sing Bulk requests from Data Quality management initiatives for different objects.
20%Process improvement and best practices
Independently uses existing process and best practices, and identifies, develops and implements new or modified process improvements and best practices.
Communicates with supervisor and other stakeholders to remove barriers, explore new ways of executing processes, and ultimately bring increased value to the process.
20%Client Interaction and Business Partnership
Key contact to Regional Business Units & Other Functions for answering questions on requests in process, researching issues and determining the best path forward within a multi-landscape environment of multiple request processes and multiple ERP systems.
Redirect business contacts to appropriate parties and recommend solutions, when needed.
Performs customer service duties to support the administration of the process. This may include sending and receiving instructions, answering questions, working with assigned process teams, providing paperwork to stakeholders, and acting as a liaison between stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
3+ years of business experience related to Master Data (GL Accounts, Profit Center, Cost Center, Data Hierarchies, Company Codes, etc.).
3+ years of SAP FICO module
5+ years of Business Process experience
Bachelor’s Degree Finance, Accounting, IT, or its equivalent in experience
English Level C1
ERP experience, preferably SAP and / or JDE
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new Tools & ERP systems
Proficiency in Queue Management.
Ability to work on multiple parallel deliverables
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Service Delivery Management.
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and as a member of a team
Excellent teamwork and people skills, positive attitude
