The Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer is an integral part of the leadership team and reports to the EVP, Global Services.
Main responsibilities will include the overall development and execution of F5’s technology strategy for powering F5’s business.
The leader will continue the transformation already underway to be a product-centric, engineering-focused, and agile information technology organization that is globally diverse.
Create the Technology Services vision and strategy to addresses F5’s business transformation.
Re-imagine every aspect of our customer journey, from discovery through operations, to create a digitally-enabled experience that delights our customers.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align the full breadth of F5, with impact and influence well beyond the boundaries of the Technology Services organization.
Define the information technology agenda with clear objectives, timelines and results.
Establish the governance, leadership and execution framework for a high-performance, product-centric, agile organization.
Inspire a committed team of 500+ full-time and contract professionals to deliver with operational excellence.
Leverage agile and DevOps methodologies to deliver provide continuous, iterative units of value.
Manage the full range of IT capabilities spanning enterprise apps, infrastructure, and employee computing.
Ensure the organization represents the pinnacle of integrity and operates in a manner exceeding F5’s ethical, behavioral and leadership standards.
Transformational leadership Expertise leading teams through a company-wide transformation to modern, agile systems optimized for volume and agility.
Team leadership Prior experience building and managing high-performing teams that rise to new challenges. Demonstrated track-record as an active, engaged, inspiring leader who attracts and retains great talent, raises the bar, and communicates with clarity and alignment.
Technology leadership Relevant experience leading Technology Services in a scaled, public company. Proven history of successfully delivering IT projects.
Influential leadership Successful leadership inspiring and motivating globally distributed teams and influencing business executives well beyond the border of Technology Services.
Outstanding communicator Natural ability to communicate clearly with customers, employees, executives and members of the board of directors.
Persuasive in articulating technology strategies that fluidly blends technical and business imperatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Senior leadership experience in IT with a minimum of 15+ years.
Exceptional Technology business acumen across a broad range of strategic & operational business matters.
Prior experience leading agile technology transformation programs.
Proven experience working across multiple functions and / or business groups to drive results.
Outstanding record of sound judgment and advice to senior leaders.
Proven ability of influence senior leaders on a recommended path; demonstrated gravitas.
Effective communication skills in presenting recommendations and motivating organizations.
Demonstrated cross-functional leadership, able to inspire and motivate.
Bachelor’s degree in MIS or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred. MBA, or demonstrated equivalent; engineering degree a plus.
